"How's your first day?"

"You mean it's not over yet?"

"Ouch! that bad huh?

"Not that bad, but not that godd either"

"Seriously? No new friends? C'mon I know how much you love people"

"Sarcasm? Really Spence?"

"No Girls you're interested in?"

"No"

"No Guys"

"Fuck Off"

"Wow someone's jeans are incredibly tight today"

"What"

"Seriously lighten up a little bit man, dont sulk cos you hate people"

"Woah, hates a bit of strong word don't you think?"

"Fine you Uhhh.. dislike? people"

"I'd go for despise"

"Really? Okay, you despise people"

"Yeah"

"Even your best friend?"

"Oh yeah, I despise him the most"

"Thanks man, appreciate that, I love you too"

"D'you wanna move?" a not so soft female voice commands, interrupting my call. I look up through my fringe to see a pair of beautifully big eyes, she raises an eyebrow at me whilst shifting all of her weight onto one foot. "You're in my seat" she carries on in the same tone but now with a sympathetic smirk. I let out a sigh and slide my stuff across a place to the left, then doing the same with myself.

The tables are small and rectangular, fitting only two people. Once I get settled in my new seat I notice that Spencer had hung up on me, he must have figured out that I'd forgotten about him.

"I'm not picky you know" is she still talking to me? "Mr. Walker gave us all assigned seats at the beginning of the year" she finally stops, resting her chin on the palm of her hand and a small smile growing on her face as she's glaring, waiting for a reply. "It's fine" I responded, mirroring her smile.
"Call me Z" the grin on her face has grown, shes wearing matte red lipstick and it just outlines that heart warming smile so perfectly. It stands out even more against the pale blonde of her hair, which looks like strands of white gold in this light. "This is where you tell me your name" now she's interrupting my thoughts.

"Uh Ryan" why did I say it more like a question?

"Really? You dont sound sure" she mixed that with a few little laughs whilst cocking her head to the side and rubbing my shoulder, but only for a few seconds because her phone interrupts her, what i think is, flirting.

-Why are you talking to him- are the words I managed to accIdentally read on her screen. I slouch down in my seat rolling my eyes at that message, this person doesn't even know me so what the hell is there problem?

-I think he's really cute- Is what she replied, i saw her send it as she was now hiding her phone under the table from Mr Walker was it? who just walked in.

"Alright stop talking, face me, phones down, pay attention" what was a room full of mixed voices and laughter is now completely silent. This Mr Walker looks rough, hes half dressed for work, as in hes wearing a shirt and blazer with dark blue jeans and brown leather work shoes, it sort of works. He's not much taller than me either, brown hair that is sort of long but not long and it's the same with his beard. "Since I'm late I'll cut straight to the point and it goes like this, carry on with your creative writing. Oh and new kid" he points at me and starts to shake his hand up and down whilst he tries to remember my name "George is it?" i tried to say no but he carried on anyway "doesn't matter what your name is, you better know what creative writing is cos that's all you're doing for the next 45 minutes okay? Okay. Good" he slurred all of that and dropped into his desk chair. His hear resting on the palm of one of his hands whilst the other slowly grades papers. According to people talking not so quietly Mr Walker has a hangover, must have been a good night cos we're 30 minutes from the end of the day and he is still that rough.

"See you next week Ross" Z says to me with a mix of smiling whilst biting her lip as she walks passed me to her car with one of her friends who just giggles.

"So that's the girl you forgot me for" I recognise that sarcastic tone. I scoffed a little and turned around to see Spencer standing there with a big grin on his face and his arms open like he's waiting for me to hug him. He knows I won't I saw him a few days ago before I left. "What are you doing here?" I'm actually surprised he's here it's a long drive.

"Well my parents are gone for a few days and they left me the car, I thought I'd visit an old friend"

"An old friend, Really Spence?" we both laugh

"What I missed my little RyRo" he says climbing into the drivers seat. I just roll my eyes. He's lucky I know him and he's patronising on purpose to wind me up, I'm taller than him for goodness sake.

"So tell me 'Old Friend' what do you have planned for us" I put on an over the top posh accent and then so does Spencer "Well 'Old Friend' I thought we might go to a few bars, I've brought my fake ID if you're up for it and if your old man doesn't mind I'll stay at yours"

"When does he" was my way of saying yes to Spencers offer. We've done this plenty of times, we've been friends for years and when I say years I mean pretty much my whole life, we know everything about each other.
