You walked on the concrete road, staring down at your shoes. It was about sunset when you arrived at the abandoned park.

From what you recalled, the park was closed due to deaths and accidents. People get burns from sliding down the slide, breaking bones, falling off the swing and landing into a tree, etc.

When you were in the younger time of your life, you went to this park a lot with your family trailing behind.

"Daddy! Daddy! Come on! I wanna go on the swing!" You ran ahead.
"Hold on a sec, hon! I'll be right there!"
Father replied, slowly catching up.

You loudly groaned as you ran back over to Father and grabbed his hand, making him walk faster to the swing. Father nervously laughed as you both stopped at the swing.

You hopped onto it, grabbing the chains that connected to the pole above as Father pushed you, making you swing back and forth. Soon Father pushed you too hard as you found yourself in the air, closing in on a tree and hitting the trunk face first. Making you lose teeth.

A smile crept onto your face as you looked up at the closed park. You felt your canine tooth skim over your skin when smiling, which brought another memory of getting teeth replaced. The dentist accidentally replaced a canine tooth with an adult one, making it very noticeable. The dentist shrugged it off and said that it would grow out. But still, to this day, the tooth was noticeable but not as noticeable as it was in your younger days.

The playground and its pieces of equipment were covered in rust and dust. The smile soon faded when more thoughts flooded into your mind, making you wish for the happier days of your lifetime.

Bad luck seemed to follow you around like an annoying roach. If you thought about it, if you moved into this town when you were younger, would have been affected by the curse and be forced to stay a child forever.

You walked over to the slide and sat on it, feeling the rust of the structure. Dust collected on your fingertips as you brushed it away.

Looking up at the sky, you observe the mix of colors in the sky.

Your phone vibrated as you brought out your phone. It was a text from Pop.

Poppers: Hey, can you watch Cub for me?

Sure, you can drop him off at my house.

Poppers: Thanks Y/n.

Putting your phone away in your back pocket, you stood up and began to walk back to your house.

Pop was a nice guy.

You've always felt bad for him. About five years ago when Cub was born, his wife died birthing Cub. Sad story. It struck Pop hard and deep. His grief was grave, he still grieves to this day having reminders of what his wife was like. Sometimes when he comes over, he'd tell some stories about her, how you remind him of his wife. He'd tell funny stories, embarrassing ones, and such. They were soothing to listen to. Having Pop's deep voice tell an hour's worth of stories seemed
amazing after a stressful day.

Cub was just a ray of sunshine. He may be quiet but he can be energetic. Whenever you're watching him, Cub will make sure you're awake by playing with one of his loudest toys. You always have to keep an eye on the child since he wanders off a lot. He already had many deaths in this town, he does not need more.

Before you snapped back into reality, you were already home, waiting for Pop and Cub.
You were sitting down beside the window looking out for Pop's car. A red car soon pulled up, revealing Pop and Cub who were exiting the vehicle. Through the window, you saw Pop and Cub walk over to the front door and knock. You opened the door for Cub to jump and hug you. You laughed as you hugged the cute little bear and turned your attention to Pop.
