Making Sure They Don't Find Us

It's like forever since I've slept that good. I get and walk to the kitchen to find Ethan making breakfast. "Hey is that my favorite common buns I smell," I sit down at the little island in the middle of the kitchen. "Yeah, it is and you aren't going to 'em until you pay the price," he says hold my plate up in the air. "Oh ok, then what is the price?" I giggle I already know the price but it's part of the game to ask. "Hmmmm, how about something new, like maybe a kiss right on lips rather than the cheek," he smirks. I stand up and kiss him. He puts the plate down and puts a hand on my waist and a nother on the back of my head. My arms slide up around his neck. He angles his head to kiss me deeper. Oh god is this really happening. He slides his hand down untill he reaches the back of my knees. He picks me up and carrys me into the bedroom. His hands are warm against my legs. He lays me down and continues to kiss me. He kisses my neck and I give a slit moan in response. "Ethan....." I say just before he kisses my lips again. We hear a knock on the door and he reluctantly pulls away to answer it. I get up to and he looks through the little hole. "Who is it?" I ask. "Ummm the police. And they don't look happy," he says. I freeze knowing why. They sall my license plate. I forgot to change it! Shit! "Open the door if they say a word about aresting us then make a break for my car," I whisper and he nods. He opens the door and the two cops look at us. "Um hello officers what brings you here?" Ethan acts casual. "Do you two know anyone named Ethan Ride or Crystal Lightning?" the officer asks and we both shake our heads. "I bought a car from a girl named Crystal a few days ago," I say. "Where exactly?" the officer asks. "Umm somewhere near the highway," I say. Good they don't think it's us. "Thank you miss, good day to you both," he walks away and the other nods and follows suit. Ethan closes the door and walks up to me. He cups my face and looks into my eyes trying to find something. "Ethan, what are you looking for," I ask confused. "The girl I love and the honesty that she really loves me," he says. I put my hands on his wrists. His eyes flicker at the touch. "So do you love me?" I ask. "Yes and you love me," he says and kisses me. "Come on lets eat then we have to go find a non-cop infested getaway," he says and I nod. We eat and pack up everything we really need. We load up my car and we put a new license plate on it. Then we run away again. This is the best part, when your car hits full speed on a highway. "Were do you think we'll g........Ahhhhh!" I scream as searing pain hits my back. Ethan swerves and pulls over. "Crystal! Are you ok?" I brealy register Ethan through the pain. Ear slitting pain arches up my spine. I feel strong arms pull me into them. Ethan. "Shhh, it's ok, it's ok, I'm here," he says stroking my hair. I lean into him. I start breathing hard. Sobs rack my body. What's happening to me? "Um Crystal do you have any bird in you or your family?" he says. "No why," I ask coufused, "You have wings!" Ethan yells. Ok I'm going to be pissed if he has gone Looney on me. I feel my back and there's....... there's feathers! I feel stong muscles under a feathery wing. I look over at Ethan who's smiling at me. "Why are you smiling?" I asked him. "Your an x-wing," he says. "W-what are you talking about?" I stare at him dumbfounded by this. Then he really shocks me by opening his own wings. I sit there doing my best deer in the head lights impression. "Come on, we need to leave," he takes my hand and guide's me to the car. We drive to the Colorado Mountains. He rents a small cabin and we unpack. Soon we're setled in. "Ethan, can you um explain the wings," I hope he can cause I feel like I'm gone. "I hate to explain it right now, I think you would just smack me and run away. But I think that this is why we can't be without each other," he says and kisses me. His hands come up my back. My arms wrap around his neck. He pushes me down on the bed. "Crystal.....I love you," he says as he pulls my shirt off. I tug at his jeans. Finally they come off. He actcks my collarbone. I run my hands in between his wings. My wings flicker as he kisses me deeper. This is what love fells like. He maybe the strongest kid in gym class but he can be so gentle. "I love you too," I say and kiss him harder.
