The next day was great fun. They were filming on a set made up in the middle of a forest, it was great fun seeing a whole new world be created. I watched filming a bit, hung out with some of the crew. I spent lunch with everyone and had a genuinely lovely morning. It was great watching Bella be so grown up, she wasn't exactly immature when we filmed but she seemed so different now. So much more self-assured and content. It was amazing. After lunch I made my exit, I had to pack up and left them to finish filming for the day.
"Shall I pick you up at like 7?" Pedro caught my hand and quietly asked as I made my excuses.
"Yeah; that would be great" I tried to play it cool, inside I was giddy!
"Text me" Bella growled excitedly as I left them to it.
Things packed, I started to get myself date ready. Was it a date? I didn't even know where we were heading? I decided to go with a dress I didn't think he'd be taking me outside in the Canadian spring. I left my hair to do it's own thing and it didn't look half bad with a bit of a flick over to one side. I kept my makeup simple and made an effort to shave everywhere in the shower! Even if it wasn't going anywhere I always felt more confident with smooth legs!
Before I knew it, 7 o'clock was here and he'd text saying he was in the lobby.
Pedro - Shall I come up? Or are you ready? X
Me - Two secs on my way down x
In the entrance, he looked sexy as shit. He had dark jeans and a sensible plain blue shirt with his leather jacket over. He looked up, dark eyes beaming and glued to me.
"Hey, you look stunning" he smiled and gave me a peck on the cheek - gosh he smelt good.
"Thank you. You don't look half bad your self. Where are we heading?" I popped my coat on and sorted my bag.
"Ok, I don't want to disappoint but I didn't fancy going out and being hounded for photos, so I was thinking we'd go back to mine? I've checked, and this really nice place near me delivers and we can have more fun on our own" he smiled nervously and actually I was pretty thankful.
"It sounds perfect" I linked my arm with him and we headed out to his car.
He place was only a few minutes drive. It was a lovely apartment, they'd sorted them for all of the cast and crew who were having to essentially relocate for so long. We walked in and after a quick tour he poured us wine and we picked what we'd have from the menu before he rang through the order.
"Ok, full disclosure" he sat on the sofa one arm over the side, facing me.
"Go on" I mirrored his posture.
"I've been thinking about you quite a lot" he smiled that sexy grin. "In fact I can't seem to get you out of my mind"
"Cheesy" I teased
"I know! I'm really fucking glad you're here tonight" he shuffled forward slightly.
"Me too."
"But I also get that you're off tomorrow and that you live on the opposite side of the world to me" he paused.
"That is true, and is kinda a shitter,"
"It is, but I keep coming back to the bit where I can't stop thinking about you" his hand was now in my hair near the base of my skull as he inched forward, every bit of my brain was saying 'don't fall for this charm for a one night thing,' but every other bit of me wanted to leap on him there and then. "This is all sounding rather cheesy again, I know. I just wanted you to understand that I know that looks really shit, like a one night kinda thing, but I'm not not that kinda guy" he kissed my lips so gently it was almost dreamlike. "Especially Not with you" he kissed me again. "Not unless that's all you want, and then I'll have to make do with one night that I'll think about again and again"
"That's not what I want" I managed to make out as our kiss deepened and he led me back against the arm of the sofa.
"Thank fuck for that" he cheerily announced as he kissed along my collar bone, gently moving aside the sweetheart neckline of my dress. We were brought back to reality by the doorbell ringing and our food arriving.
"We should get that" I sat up slightly and he stood and sorted out his shirt and 'pants' before answering the door and tipping the guy well.
"You hungry now?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"I mean I can always eat" I smiled and he got out plates.
We ate a bit of the food, chatting and drinking - his company just felt so easy. "Ok last real relationship?" He questioned.
"Ummm, a Lawyer from my step-dads firm in New York; he was a bit older than me, workaholic, didn't really make time for us, I think he just liked telling people who he was screwing. Bad sex for too long and then I finally saw the light and dumped him just before lock down. Dodged a bullet there really"
"You've been single a while then?"
"I've kept myself busy" I winked "but yeah nothing real for a good while, you?"
"I got my heart well and truly broken a few years ago and I swore off relationships ever since!" He took a big swig of his wine "but I'm not happy now either, so I'm a little unsure of my allegiance to singledom."
"I bet people throw them selves at you!" I teased.
"No one I really want to though. I've had people I know I can rely on - if you catch my drift - but no one I would take home or would want to meet my sister, you know?"
"I get that."
"I'm not asking for this to be anything more than 'let's see what happens'," he held my hand over the table and lent forward.
"I know"
"But I do kind of want to know what happens" he smiled and closed the gap between us again.
