Chapter 1

Sally opened the door and blinked. "Why is it snowing already?" she said to herself. "It's practically to my head, although that's not hard as I'm barely 5 feet tall." She was already 15 minutes late for the sleepover at her best friends house. "Ughhh. This isn't going to happen." She picked up the cordless phone from the side table.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Deliah! Sorry, but I won't be able to come over. There's waaay too much snow."

"Haha I guessed this was going to happen. I was about to call you and tell you, it was cancelled. Do you believe the snow though?" Her best friend asked.

"No honestly, I can't. I hope school is cancelled tomorrow."

"I doubt it, they never cancel school!"?

"Maybe if all of the snow plows broke?" Sally hoped aloud.

"Hopefully! Anyway, ill talk to you

later. Bye"

"Bye Daisy!"

She was looking forward to the sleepover, but as it was cancelled she would just have to find something else to do. Padding up the stairs, she heard blasting music and decided to pay her brother a visit. "Hey Joe!" She knocked on the door.

"What??" He yelled.

"My sleepover got cancelled so I need something to do. What are you up to?" She asked hopefully. Her brother was usually in his room, a little on the introvert side, so she wasn't expecting much.

"Nothing. Get out of my room. Why couldn't have Mom and Dad just gotten a dog instead? Seriously, Sally scram."

"Nice alliteration."

"Get out now!" He growled. Sally wondered why he never wanted to talk to her? It was probably an older brother thing. Joe looked similar to her with the same caramel brown hair. Although, she had hazel eyes unlike him, who had blue eyes.

Sally wondered what else she could do and decided to go onto the Internet. Clicking on Firefox, she immediately went to Facebook as that is what she always does. Scrolling through the many posts on her newsfeed she saw something that caught her attention.

Todd Barker: No longer in a relationship

Sally couldn't believe it! The school quarterback was no longer in a relationship. She was so excited that she ran to the phone to call her friend but to her disappointment the phone line was dead. "I guess I can call her tomorrow" she thought.
