6 - confession

Jungwon brought Jake home and he practically crawled to the door, finally doing his best to stand up as he knocked on the door.

Once the door opened, he saw his mom, with a tissue in her hand "JAKE!! Oh, where were you! I was so worried!"

Jake had to lie. "Uh- uhm- I stayed with a friend and my phone died, so sorry!"

Jake being the worst liar in the human race, his mom saw right through him. "Come on, don't lie! I'm your mother, I won't judge. Promise!"

Jake sighed. "Actually.. I don't even remember. All I know was that I went to some party and then I woke up in my friend's bed."

'not exactly a friend..' he thought.

His mom knew he told the truth and questioned him. "You went to some party... and you don't remember..."

She placed the pieces together. "Jake... YOU GOT DRUNK?!"

Jake got flushed. "I-I don't know, maybe! I can't remember!"

Jake's mom sighed. "No wonder you're walking like a pirate... get some rest. I'll bring your food to your room."

Jake was surprised. "No beati-"

Jake was interrupted by his mom, taking off her slipper. "AFTER YOU CATCH THIS BEATING-"

Jake was knocked out the rest of the day.

Everyone walked in class and sat down, but Sunghoon couldn't stop glancing at Jake.

'Should I confess to him today?- No, I have to confess to him today. I've been waiting all this time, and now seems like it's perfect.'

Sunghoon got his mind out of the gutter as the teacher walked in.

"Alright, I have a something big to say!" The teacher announced, barely any students payed attention.

"Student Council elections are starting soon! So, each class needs to elect 2 people as our representatives. Who wants to volunteer?" The teacher asked.

Everyone shot a look at Sunghoon and started cheering. "Sunghoon! Sunghoon!"

The teacher grinned. "So, Sunghoon is our first candidate?"

Sunghoon shrugged. "I guess."

"Alright then!" The teacher nodded in response. "You can ask the class to choose another candidate, or you can choose who it is yourself."

Sunghoon answered immediately. "I'd like to choose."

Everyone stared at Sunghoon, with pleading eyes.

"Sunghoon, choose me!"
"Choose me!"
"Please not me.."

Sunghoon looked through the crowd to see Jake, trying to avoid Sunghoon.

Sunghoon thought this was the perfect chance.

"I choose Jake."

Everyone's jaw dropped.

"The new kid?"
"Seriously?"
"That should've been me!"

Jake looked like he was in misery. "Damn it."

The teacher nodded. "Great! You both can head to the office and sign your names."

They both stood up and walked out of the classroom. Once they stepped out, Jake sneered at Sunghoon. "Come on! ME of all people? Are you crazy?!"

Sunghoon didn't respond.

Jake kept pestering him and he about to lose it, but they arrived at the office just in time.
