Keep in mind: A lot of sites have free trial stages. 
Set a reasonable plan and budget: Setting a reasonable budget allows you to be reasonable and not lose hundreds of dollars. 
Proof Reading and Beta Read: Always Proofread your works before publishing! It will attract more readers.
