God he loved you. Loved every little detail and imperfection he's come to know over the years you've spent together. His perfect wife, partner, and mother of his children. It felt like yesterday he was graduating from the Police Academy and met you, the shy blushing journalist for one of the local papers interviewing the top class cadets.
"Thank you for taking the time to speak to me, Officer Sawamura," you smiled at him closing your notebook and placing it your bag, "Congratulations on your accomplishment, already feel safer knowing you'll be around" you laugh awkwardly
"Call me Daichi," his deep voice booms with his all too kind smile
You couldn't help but blush looking up at him, "Daichi," you said sweetly, and words couldn't begin to describe the feelings that flooded through him hearing his first name fall from your lips
"Listen, Miss L/N, I don't wanna come off to forward but-" he pauses, taking off his cover giving you an even better look at his warm features "would you care to accompany me to the banquet tonight for graduates?" The tinge of pink that dusted his face, sweet russet brown eyes eager pleading for a yes.
"I'd like that," you answered, digging into your bag to pull out a business card, "My personal cell is on here, I've got to stop by work on the way home. Just text me the details,"
"I'll call you," he states as a matter of fact, sending butterflies ablaze in the pit of your stomach.
That interview was the beginning of it all. He indeed did call that evening and whisked you away at the banquet, he was so charming and endearing. It wasn't long before he asked you to be exclusive and you jumped to answer yes no doubt in your mind on the decision. A year after that, he asked you to move in, and a few months later he was on one knee in front of you asking you to be his forever and you know what they say? First comes love, then comes marriage then comes a baby in a baby carriage.
Here you are 6 years later, standing in the kitchen island with your twins, Ukai and Aiko, helping them with homework while waiting for Daichi to come home.
"Mommy?" Aiko grasps your attention, her dark locks like her fathers past her shoulders and your e/c looking up at you "Why are we staying with Uncle Suga tonight?"
"I wanna stay with you and Daddy," Ukai mutters next to his sister with a pout, he was the spitting image of his father especially with that natural born scowl he held.
Your brush your hand through his chocolate tresses pinching his cheek making him giggle, "It's only for the night, we'll see you tomorrow morning at practice, Mommy and Daddy are going out tonight for our anniversary" you smiled at the both of them
"What's an anniversary?" Aiko asks curiously
"Umm an anniversary is a special event you celebrate with someone you love," You smiled at her
"So you love daddy?" she asks with bright eyes like she's discovered lost treasure
"I sure hope so," a deep voice booms from around the corner, causing the two kids to shoot up and run greeting Daichi in the entryway, scooping the two in his arms like they weighed nothing, the sight made you swoon. Daichi was always sexy there was no denying it but watching him become a father, made you weak in the knees. "You two all packed for Uncle Sugas?" he asked the two giggling messes in his arms.
"Yes," Ukai responds
"Mhm," Aiko mutters, making you snicker knowing that little sound meant she definitely did not have her things packed. Daichi raises an eyebrow and looks at you from across the room, sending you a wink like he read your mind.
"Guess we'll go check then, huh?" You say making the girls eyes go wide
"If you're packed we'll get boba after practice," he teases, making Aiko scramble out of his hands and upstairs.
