Jake sat on the floor of the music room, where music once played is now as silent as it can be with a few gasps of sobs here and there. After what felt like hours, yet were only a mere few minutes, he slowly brings his hand up to his cheek, only to wince in pain at the sting pulsating through his cheek. Panic quickly started to clutch at his chest and his breathing quickened . He looked at the club room's door, the door he walked in a few minutes ago with a big smile on his face, which only led to disaster.

His thoughts ran rapidly, to the point he could barely keep up with them himself. He tightly pressed the palm of his hands against his ears to attempt to shut out his thoughts, but they only seemed to get louder, pounding against his skull. Underneath the sound of his own thoughts, breathing that was only getting quicker, and heartbeat, he faintly recognized the bell ringing throughout the school.

He manages to bring himself up, before approaching the door slowly, though he reached it faster than he wanted to. Jake puts his hand on the door knob, slowly turning it to open the door. He peeks his head out, making sure Drew and them aren't in sight, before fully emerging from the room. As he walks down the school's hallway to get to his locker so he could grab his stuff, all he can feel are eyes staring into him.

At least that's what it felt like to the boy. When he lifts his head and looks around, nobody seems to be staring, but that didn't stop his lungs from feeling like they were closing up, and the stinging in his eyes starting to form due to him holding back tears. He quickly looks in front of him to see the people he'd been trying to avoid, standing in front of his locker.

Jake quickly paused in his tracks and officially can't breathe. He turns his head around quickly and sees the school's doors to go outside. He looks back at his friends, hesitating before he runs for the door. He bit his lip and dug his nails into the palm of his hand as he ran.

He makes it to his neighborhood before stopping to take a break. He didn't really want to deal with any people, so his break was short lived. He finally makes it to his home, which he enters quickly. He hurriedly takes off his shoes and makes his way upstairs, before entering his room so he could avoid anything else until his younger brother, Milo, gets home.

He pulls out his phone and looks at the time, only 4 hours until milo gets home. Jake feels tears sting at his eyes once again, as he questions why this had to happen to him; questions why he had gotten so attached to a group he'd once teased.

He choked out a sob, as he began to tremble as he thought about what he'd done to the club, causing the tears in his eyes to bubble over and spill down his face. His attempts to stop the onslaught of tears was for nought, as more replaced the ones he would wipe away.

Jake choked on a sob, his trembling hands dropping to his sides as he gave up in his attempts at calming down. Despite this, he still tries to convince himself that he can fix this.

Jake ignores his phone going off, the alarm blaring to remind him it's time to get up for school. Despite his exhaustion after breaking down, he still wasn't able to fall asleep, resulting in dark eyebags painting the undersides of his eyes. Picking up his phone, he sighs as he scrolls through the texts he sent to the music club, in an attempt to get a chance to explain what had truly happened.
