Mercedes POV

A few weeks have passed and Naoko has completely believed I've switches sides which has proven very difficult on my part.

But if it gets us the Intel we need then I'm all here for it.

-knock knock-

I headed to my door and found no one. I looked around and saw a note on the floor.

I put two fingers behind my ear pretending I'm scratching an itch and looked in the camera for a spilt second before I opened the note.

You've been formally invited to join us in our ranks Mercedes Artemis Ramona Stone. We have deemed you worthy and request your presence at this location at midnight.

Come alone and unarmed or there will be consequences.

I quickly changed and made my way to Jac's room. He opened it groggily and I gave him a piece of paper quietly before squeezing his hand and leaving.

I couldn't risk anything so I won't even attempt to.

I know I would be royally screwed because I'm going mono e mono, alone and well I need to survive this but unfortunately I have no choice.

I made it to the location and contemplated just waiting in my car, but I sucked in a deep breathe and stood against a crate.

'They're probably going to kidnap me.' I thought to myself before it all went black.

I opened my eyes and saw myself in darkness.

I know I didn't just die?

Suddenly the lights switched on and I saw several people standing on either side, weapons ready.

A lady with a gigantic scar across her face appeared at the top and sneered down at me.

"Mercedes, you're known as the most resourceful and resilient student at Ravencroft and for you to officially join us you're going to have to go through everyone of them, the catch is don't die and you have to free yourself first."

"If you can survive that then we can consider you a scorpion."

And I suddenly wished I was dead.

The restraints on me were extra tight and they all smiled at me, blood lust dancing in their eyes.

I looked back at the person in charge and she let out a wall cry before they all came charging.

I immediately got up and crashed down on the ground, breaking the chair but also having a chunk slice my arm in the process.

I felt a kick to my face as I stumbled back, wood in my hand ready to attack. I lunged at the person stabbing them in the neck and grabbing their gun and aiming it at everyone around me.

If the aim is that I don't die, this organization must be pretty huge if it can afford to lose this many soldiers.

That's if I'm lucky enough to get through that many.

Anyways.

Yanked backwards from my hair, I felt a knife slice the side of my throat. I plunged the bloody wooden stake upwards in the arm of my attacker and snatched the knife before stabbing them deep in the eyes.

The lights just went out and I ran to the side of the warehouse, recuperating.

I tore some of my tee and covered the wounds I've sustained. I caught my breath and listened closely for any steps coming towards me.
