★ : the students in the last match got into their positions, though y/n was worried. izuku had brought up to his group that his quirk had been acting on its own. considering how his quirk affected him in the beginning, y/n couldn't help but worry about what could go wrong.
"don't worry l/n, they'll be fine" y/n looked ahead of her, seeing kirishima smiling over his shoulder, "midoriya's grown just as much as everyone else," he said as he brought a fist up. y/n smiled a bit in response as she gave a nod, "you're right" she turned her attention towards the screen, "he has grown too."
the screen soon switched, indicating that the match was about to start. "now, for the fifth match, it's the last match of the day! are you ready?" vlad king began, "do your best!— start!" with that, the students were off.
izuku jumped into the air, landing on a pipe and repeating the process as he moved in the structure, going a bit farther than his teammates. "looks like he took inspiration from you" y/n commented, glancing towards katsuki from the corner of her eye. a faint amused smile forming on her lips in finding the formation of izuku's team familiar. katsuki didn't respond as he looked at the screen, watching as izuku jumped onto the next pipe.
izuku soon stopped, pointing towards a direction to quietly inform his team of his next move. he jumped towards a vertical pipe, jumping onto one that was adjacent to it and repeated the process as he made his way up.
as he went forward, monoma had used yanagi's quirk to send an object towards him, izuku quickly reacting and redirecting it with a kick. he soon spotted monoma, sending an attack towards him which the blonde quickly averted. izuku landed ahead of monoma, preparing another attack.
but before he could shoot it towards him, monoma began to taunt him. y/n could tell that izuku was not going to fall for monoma's scheme. monoma soon began to move, izuku simultaneously shooting his attack towards him only to have it evaded once more.
as monoma landed onto a pipe he activated his quirk using yanagi's quirk to make the objects he had stowed away float infront of him. he sent the small objects towards izuku, causing him to shield himself from getting hit by the erratic movements of the objects.
as for izuku's teammates they had took the time to scout the area after hearing a scream that resembled ochaco's voice. they kept their guards up as the only clue they had was that it was near where they were. soon, mineta felt movement come from the rope he had been holding, metal objects soon came out of the pipes and went towards them.
