"You need to open the door right now," Austin says worriedly to the bus driver as more kids on the bus stand up to look at the fire. "If I let you all run out into the street I could lose my job," she says back shaking her head. "If you don't let us out right now we could lose our lives," Austin says sternly as he takes out his phone to record her. "Could you stop recording me please?" "Fuck no this is evidence for my parents when they come pull my dead body out of here" "I'm trying to do the right thing." "So am I, and I'm posting this so people know who killed a bus full of high school students," Austin finishes as Blake grabs his phone and throws it out the window.
"What the fuck is your problem?" Austin exclaims as he opens the door to the bus to retrieve his phone. As he walks out, students yell telling him it's a bad idea. We all then watch from the window as we hear loud noises coming from the fire, seconds later chaos strikes and hundreds of animals run towards us. People start panicking and running off the bus me included. As I run out of the bus I see people being rammed into and killed by these animals. "Fuck," I say aloud to myself as I decide I can get out of here faster if I turn. Good thing it's close to the full moon or I would've been running in my human form for awhile.

As I start moving in my wolf form I see two of my classmates Everett and Blake. They both see me and I run past them not wanting to be caught. As I run past them I get a glance at two bite marks on both their bodies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I finally make it back to the motel I've been staying at for the past few weeks. By now it's dark out so I turn on the news showing the fire trying to wrap my head around what I saw on the highway. After a shower I walk out to get a soda from the vending machine, as I walk out I see the same girl from before, Blake. I decide to follow her to make sure she wasn't but by an actual wolf. She starts running at some point and I decide just to follow behind slowly using the scent she left behind.
I start to go faster once I hear a growl coming from the inside of a burnt down home. I then see a large figure run out of it towards the woods and I decide to follow Blake's scent to make sure she's okay. I then hear another howl and start running towards it. I finally catch up to her. Out of breath I look around me seeing 3 other kids I go to school with.
"Luna?" "Everett?" "Harlan and Luna the twins." Everett states. "Holy shit your guys' eyes are glowing," I say looking at the four teens. "And yours aren't?" Luna says almost sadly. "This doesn't make sense, any of this," Harlan announces. "Why is this all happening?" Everett asks. "Because we're all here all together under the full moon, something bit you two, you're like us now," Luna states "don't say it," Blake demands. "Just like us," Luna finishes and looks around. "Werewolves," Everett states.
"But werewolves aren't real," I exclaim, trying to make me sound oblivious. "Great job idiots you just told a stranger exactly what we are!" Harlan yells. "He's Not a stranger, it's Grayson," Luna says defensively as she looks at me. "Grayson Warner right? New kid, stereotypical bad boy that sleeps around?," Everett asks realizing he probably shouldn't have said the last part. "Oh glad everyone's keeping tabs on me." I reply and begin speaking again. "Now can we go back to the werewolf part?" I ask looking at the group. "No, what the hell are you even doing out here?" Harlan spits back. "Uhh smoking what else would I be doing, I was smoking and I thought I heard something over here so here I am," I reply telling him the first excuse that came to mind.
"Let's just hope he's too high to remember this shit," Harlan shouts out and everyone turns to Blake as she starts to back away from the group. "Blake wait" Everett says moving closer to her. "I gotta go," she says as she starts running with the rest of us following her. "Hey wait up! What's his name again?" Harlan asks. "Everett!" I breath out as I pick up my pace passing the twins. "Hold up! Do they even know where they're going?" Harlan asks looking at his sister. "Do you?" She replies.
"You need to stop your going towards the fire!" I yell trying to get the girl to stop. Blake then runs right into a firefighter and gets knocked down to the floor. "What do you think your doing I thought you said you were going home! Who are these three are they friends of yours?" The woman says looking at the twins. "Yeah uh that's Everett she's-" Harlan try's to remember her name but clearly can't. "She's Blake and I'm Grayson," I say trying to save us from getting into trouble.
"They go to school with us," Luna states. "They're in our classes," Harlan adds in. "They're a grade below and Grayson's in our grade," Luna says. "Guys the truth!" The woman shouts. "We were just trying to find our way back," Everett finally speaks up.
"What about you, why haven't you said anything?" she asks now looking at Blake. "I'm not as good a liar as he is," she shrugs looking towards Harlan. "Funny, come on you're all going home," she finishes as we follow her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now in the car Everett decides to break the silence, "So you guys are-" "Seniors," Harlan answers. "We should talk to them," Luna says looking at Harlan for permission." "No" "I know Everett and I've heard of Grayson," she says back quietly. "When's the last time you hung out with Everett?" "I don't remember." "Because you don't know him. So don't say a word Luna," Harlan states.
"Everett why'd you run into the woods?" She asks him now looking at him through the rear view mirror. "I heard a wolf howl," he recalls and then looks at Blake and speaks again "You heard it too." "Luna stop talking," Harlan said frustrated. "Did you get a call?" Everett asks. "From who?" Luna asked back. "I don't know but he said it would kill me before the next full moon." Everett stated.
"Fuck," I say quietly to myself as I come to the realization of the situation. At that moment Harlan and Luna start fighting over the radio and almost cause us to collide with another vehicle. "One question, I just want to know one thing. Did something bite you? We're you bitten?" Luna asks worriedly.
"We both were," Everett answers as he looks between Luna and Blake. "I can show you," he offers as he lifts up his bandages. "There's nothing there buddy," I reply and everyone sighs. "Remember Blake if you need it or you want to teach it to your brother it's called lions breath," Everett says as he walks towards his house. "Where's your house?" Luna asks, turning to look at me. "I'm staying at the motel up the road," I reply, reviving looks from the twins. "Me too," Blake adds. Once we get to the motel Blake gets out of the car, as I start to get out Luna grabs my arm. "Please promise you won't say anything about us Grayson, it puts us and you in danger," Luna pleads. "Don't worry about it, thanks for the ride Briggs," I reply as I exit the vehicle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A day later I decide to head towards the twins house to find out more about them. I knock on the door, the door opens and my eyes meet Luna Briggs'. "Hey are you okay? You look terrified," I say softly as she takes deep breaths. "I just I thought I saw something," she says startled.
I offer my hand out to help her up and as she gets up she says "How'd you get here?" "My car." "Do you think you could give me a ride to the hospital?" she asks. "Yeah sure get in," I reply as I start the car. "Why were you at my house?" she asks turning to look at me. "I have questions you know? The whole werewolf thing, I just want to understand," I reply. "You already know too much Grayson you could get hurt," she replied with a sigh.
As we get to the hospital Luna hurries through the hospital doors after saying "Thanks for the ride Warner!" I then decide to give her and Harlan some space and as I'm pacing by the vending machine I get approached by a blonde woman. "Grayson Warner? I'm detective Ramsey and I've got a few questions for you if you could come with me to the station."
