I wake up and its already Friday. I get up and shower like usual. I decide to wear a floral cardigan over jeans and a black tank top. Frantically, I look for my contacts and realize I'm out. This means I'm back to glasses. I don't mind them, really, I just don't like hiding my eyes behind them. I curl my hair and apply some makeup. Surprisingly I'm not late and I have time to meet Simon at the coffee shop. Once there I see him sitting at a table with his coffee and a book. I notice he ordered mine already. I walk to the table and sit down. He looks up at me and smiles.
"You look so beautiful, Parker!" he exclaims.
I thank him and pick up the other coffee, "Hazelnut frap?"
He nods in a way to show off. I laugh and take a sip. I pull out my laptop and start to write another chapter. In the middle Simon looks over my computer at my screen. I switch screens instantly.
"Watch are you looking at?" he asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Um, something stupid really," I reply
He doesn't ask further but I know he will tease me later about it. Classes go my super fast. My first class the teacher didn't show up so after fifteen minutes everyone left. I drop by the coffee shop and decide to apply for a job. I then head back to the dorms to find Taylor home.
"Hey!" she exclaims after I walk through the door.
I remember the other night with Sawyer and feel a little saddened.
"There's a party tonight and you absolutely have to come," she says.
I set my stuff on my bed and sit down.
I laugh, "I don't know Taylor....Its really not my thing."
She smiles, "Well let's make it your thing."
She starts to get ready. Taylor pulls out fishnet leggings and a short skintight dress. She pairs it with knee high boots or high heels not really sure actually. She curls her hair and teases it. And let me just say her hair is huge.
"By the way I like your hair curled you should do it more," she tells me, "I think you look good with glasses, too."
I blush, "Uh thanks, Taylor." She smiles and continues getting ready.
I'm not sure if I'm cut out for this. I don't really care for drugs and parties and drinking. I do need a break and this may be fun.
She finally gets done and grabs her keys. She turns around to face me.
"Come on your going, I'll start the car and you fix your hair and makeup." Shes says and walks out of the door. Well shit.
I sigh and stand up. I pull on a pair of high heeled ankle boots and fix my tank top. It's more of a crop top kind of thing. Its black slightly shear tank top but with tassels on the bottom. My cardigan is a blue floral cardigan which is one of my favorites. My makeup isn't looking the best from being out all day so I decide to fix it. I fix my eyeliner and mascara. I decide against the shoes and put my black toms on. I fix my curls and by the time I'm done Taylor is back and ready to go. She looks at me.
"See, you look good no matter what even better now that you've fixed your makeup and hair," she says admiringly.
I chuckle and she grabs my hand leading me to the car. I check my phone for the time and its around nine thirty. We pull up to what looks like a frat house. I sigh maybe this wasn't a good idea. We get out and people run up to meet us. A boy with blonde hair greets us and hugs Taylor. Another boy follows him with red hair and smiles at me. I return the smile and turn to Taylor.
"Ethan, Hunter this is Parker. She's my roommate." They smile at me.
"Hello, Parker, " Ethan says and kisses my hand.
Taylor shoves him and Hunter, the red head, smiles shyly at me and I nod.
"Well shall we go in?" Taylor asks.
We all nod in agreement and start towards the door. People are drinking and crowded and laughing everywhere. And when I mean everywhere I mean I have to push through people just to get to a semi open space. We walk to the kitchen and Taylor and Ethan grab a cup of liquor. Hunter soon follows and they stare at me.
I clear my throat, "I don't drink"
They nod and start a conversation about some professor and student fling rumor that's going around. I look at everyone and notice a few people from my classes. I spot a dirty blonde with tattoos and dark eyes. Oh no. He spot me and starts to walk over. I turn around and grab a red plastic cup with dark liquid in it.
"I though you don't drink," Taylor says with a puzzled but amused expression.
I chug the cup ignoring the horrible taste and grab another.
"I do now," I say just as Sawyer arrives and Taylor laughs.
