🖤~Year 4 - Part 6~🖤

~First Task~

I wasn't able to sleep all night. But the only thing that keeps running through my mind is that me being away from Draco is better. I said to him that I would be careful and I will keep my word. But I will help Harry as much as I can speaking that he doesn't really have anyone besides Neville. My thoughts were disrupted by Pansy and Daphne coming in and jumping on her bed.

"So what's going on with you and Malfoy?" Daphne asked all giggly
"I think he's gonna ask me to the yule ball" Pansy says twirling her hair around her finger
"He definitely will, he is like obsessed with you" Daphne laughs
"Is he really?" Pansy giggles
"Of course he is. Who else would he be obsessed with. You guys almost kissed"Daphne tries to whisper

For some reason those words hurt. A lot. How many girls did Malfoy have around his finger? Was I just another girl on his list? Maybe he really does like Pansy? Maybe we were just friends after all.

After a few classes we had a free period, most kids go outside if it's nice and chill in the courtyard which is where I went. I needed to catch up on homework anyway. While I was sitting on a bench writing down a couple of notes I saw Draco sitting up in a tree talking with a bunch of Slytherin boys. Mostly laughing at Hufflepuffs and playing jokes on them.

"You know staring is like stalking" Cedric said sitting next to me
"I wasn't staring nor was I stalking" I say going back to my notes
"I'm just joking with you" He laughs
"Very funny" I give him a smile
"I believe Harry didn't put his name in the Goblet of fire you know" He says
"You do?" I ask
"I met Harry. I met all of you. And Harry had no interest in the tournament. So someone is setting him up" He says looking around
"Thank you for believing him" I say
"Of course. I will help him considering no one really is except for you. You're a good friend" He smiles at me
"Thank you, Cedric"

"You're welcome, Venus"
"Please call me Vee"
"Well I think you are very pretty, Vee" He looks over at me
"Why thank you" I smile
"See most Slytherins are rude and vial. But you're different. We've had a conversation without you saying I'm a soft hufflepuff"
"I don't believe in house stereotypes" I say
"That's what I like about you"
"What are those badges on peoples robes?" I ask
"It's a clip that says 'Potter stinks'. I had no part in it. Just people who are upset that he got in and they didn't" He says

"It's not right. None of it" I shake my head
I see Harry walking past everyone looking embarrassed for the most part he came straight towards Cedric and I.
"Can I speak to you, Cedric? It's about the first task" Harry says making Cedric stand up and walk over to a place where they could talk in private. I look back over to Draco to him already looking over at me with more of an angry look, probably because he saw me talking to a Hufflepuff. That's the thing about Draco is he does believe in House stereotypes, I never will.

"Vee, come on let's get out of here" Harry says done with his conversation with Cedric
"All right" I say packing my stuff and walking towards the hall until we bump into Ron and Seamus.
"You're a real foul git, you know that?" Harry says to him
"You think so?"
"I know so"
"Anything else?" Ron asks unfazed
"Yeah stay away from me"
"Fine" He walks past
"Harry, that was uncalled for" I say to him

"Why so tense, Pottah? Father and I have a bet you see" Draco says from the tree
"I don't think you're gonna last 10 mintiest in this tournament. He disagrees..." He jumps down
"Malfoy, don't." I warn him
"He doesn't think you're gonna last 5" He ignores me
"I don't give a damn what your father thinks, Malfoy! He's vial and cruel. And you're pathetic!" Harry pushes him back

Harry then walked away facing his back towards Draco. He then tried to pull out his wand.
"No-" I say
Just like that Professor Moody came out of no where turning Malfoy into a white ferret making everyone in the court yard laugh at him.
"How dare you try and cast a spell while your opponents back was turned" Professor says while he's tossing him an around.

Professor Mcgonagall then comes out and wonders what is going on
"What are you doing?" She asks
"Teaching"
"Is that...Is that a student!?" She worries
"Technically it's a ferret" He says then puts the ferret in Crabbs pants and gives a wink to Harry.

No everyone in the courtyard is laughing and watching what's happening. I even laughed a little, and Malfoy deserved it. Mcgonagall then switched the ferret back into Draco which was sad.
"My father will hear about this!" He shouts
"Is that a treat? Is that a threat!" Moody says chasing him around the big tree.

After the incident at the courtyard that was the only thing that people could talk about which meant it gave Harry the edge of not being the thing that everyone is talking about. I was in the library knowing I would see a certain someone, Hermione.

"Mione?" I say making her head snap up at me
"Hey Vee. It's good to see you" She smiles making me sit down next to her
"How's harry?" She asks
"He's fine. He knows what the first task is and I think Professor Moody is helping him a little. But he needs as much help as he can get" I say
"The only thing Ron has been talking about is how Harry is a liar and a cheater. But deep down I know he misses him" She says
"And I know you do too. Don't be on Ron's side, he's a prick. He has been this year" I say to her
"Your right, Vee" Hermione says

"The first task is tomorrow I should talk to him before it starts." She says
"Sounds good" I say
"And I'll try and talk to Ron." Hermione sighs
"Good luck" I laugh
"Shhhhh" The librarian shouts at us
I was looking at Hermione anticipating if I should tell her what's been going on with Draco and I. But I'm scared if I do I might lose not only her but Harry too.
"Vee? You okay?" She asks me
"Yeah I'm fine" I say
