Daddy: Dean
Little: Cas (regression age= 2)
(IIIIIIIIIIII'mmmmmmmm BaaaaaaaaaaaCK BiiiiiiitCHEssssssss!!!)
What was the best part of being Cas' caregiver? Teaching him about the human world. Though he was an angel, he didn't understand the ways of the world very well.
Why walk? He could teleport.
Scraped knees? He can heal himself.
Needless to say, Dean had his work cut out for him.
"Daddy. Daddy," speak of the devil- erm, angel. Cas came rushing into the kitchen.
"What's wrong, baby," Dean asked the boy.
"What's dis?" He held out his hands. There, laying on his palms, were three bees.
"Bubby, put those down," Dean rushed, turning the boy back towards the door. "Take those outside! You might get stung!"
"Stung? What is dat?"
"They'll poke you, and hurt you," Dean briefly explained, gesturing for the boy to drop them.
"They won't huwt me, Daddy," Cas giggled, letting the bees fly off his hands. Seconds later, more bees came, and started fly around Cas, making the little scream in glee. "See, Daddy. They nice!" Dean stood, watching in awe. If it were him, he'd have already been stung multiple times. But Cas? He had befriended them. This made the man chuckle, watching his boy 'play' with the bees.
"What are day 'gain, Daddy?"
"Bees, baby," Dean answered. "They are bees."
"I wove bees! Where day wiv?"
"In a hive," Cas gave a confused look. Dean steered him towards a tree, and showed him the beehive hanging from it. "There, that's where they live."
"Cooool," Cas was fascinated. Dean just watched him, relishing in the fact that he was teaching Cas the wonders of the world. As he kept watching the little, he thought of other times, like today, were he had showed Cas something new. Like the first time he tried ice cream!
Flashback
"What we get, Daddy?"
"Ice cream," Dean said, paying the cashier at the register.
"Here ya go," she handed Dean his chocolate milkshake and Cas' vanilla with sprinkles.
"Thank you," he thanked her, and led Cas to a booth. "Here, bubs."
"S'cold, Daddy," he examined the treat, swirling it around with his spoon.
"Yep, and it tastes good. Try it, Cas."
The boy sent it one more skeptical look, and scooped some on his spoon. He hesitantly lifted it towards his mouth, putting the bit in his mouth. Dean looked at him expectantly, waiting for a reaction.
"How is it?"
"Daddy," Cas mumbled.
"Yeah," Dean asked, thinking he didn't like it.
"Can I hab mowe after?"
Dean chuckled, "No, baby. But you can try mine, and I'll bring you back every week if you're good. Deal?"
"Deal! But what you hab? It don't wook wike mine."
"It's a milkshake. It has ice cream, but it's just mixed with some other things. Here try," he pushed the drink over to the boy, holding the straw while he took a sip. "Whatcha think?"
"I want that next time!"
"Okay, bub," Dean chuckled, his heart warming at the sight of his happy baby.
Or the time when he took Cas to the beach for the first time with Sammy.
Flashback
"C'mon, Cas," Sam yelled from the water, he was waist deep and waiting for Cas to join. Dean, Cas, and him had built a sand castle and ate. Now Dean was tanning, which left Sam to swim with the little boy.
"No!" Cas folded his arms, glancing at the scary water.
"Why not?" Sam asked.
"No wanna!"
"Hey, what's up, babe," Dean got up from his towel, making his way to Cas. "You don't wanna get in the water? I'll go with you." Dean turned to walk with Cas, but he didn't move.
"Da water is scawy, Daddy," he admitted.
"Why is it scary? It's just water. Plus, me and Sammy will be with you."
"Sharks are in da water. An-an I no kno how to swim..."
"That's why I'm going with you, baby. Daddy with keep the sharks away and Sam will he help you swim. Come on. You're safe, I promise."
"Otay," Cas agreed, slowly making his way to the water. Dean held his hand the whole way. Once they reached the water, it was lapping at their feet. Cas stood there, not really wanting to go farther. When he looked out at Sam, he was hopping waves and laughing. He glanced at Dean, and felt bad. He was the reason Daddy couldn't have fun, too. He looked at the water touching his feet, taking a deep breathe in. "I weady, Daddy."
"Are you sure, baby? We don't have to if you don't want to."
"No, me weady," he started making his way farther into the water. Dean followed.
By the time they had to leave, Cas didn't want to get out of the water. He was like a fish, and picked up swimming fast. Dean was so proud, knowing he was there for Cas every step of the way.
"Daddy. Daddy," Cas tugged at Dean's arm, pulling him from his memories.
"Yeah?"
"Tank 'ou for showing me da bees. I wove you!"
"I love you, too, honey bee." Cas smiled at the nickname.

Sup? Long time no see. Guess that's my fault... So imma tell y'all why I've been gone for a bit, but before...
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK????? This book has OVER 2 THOUSAND reads!!!! Like, how does that even happen?? It warms my heart that people are actually reading this book. So, thank you guys for reading my book.
Okay, onto the reason why I've been MIA...
I've been going through a bunch of personal problems. My mental health has been really bad. I went through a rough patch. As you might be able to tell from some of my author's notes, 2022 wasn't a good year for me. I thought 2023 would be better, but it didn't start out that way. Some things happened, and I went spiraling. I'm better now! I lot better. So, I'm going to write some more.
One thing I've learned through this whole experience (and others in the past) is that most people don't know how to help. Even I, someone who struggles with mental illnesses, have a hard time helping others with the same issues. But, I know writing helps me. So I write, not only to relieve stress, but also to maybe (just maybe) touch someone. Help them.
I know it sounds far fetched, but you never know. So I hold onto the possibility.
Like I've said before, if you wanna talk, I'll listen. If you want advice, I can try my best. I'll be here! Love y'all! Hope you're having a good day, night, or whenever you are reading this.
