"Were home." Jessica yelled out as soon as theelevator opened, opening up to their penthouse apartment. She put down her bag on the nearest chair and went staright to Luke's bedroom to lay him down.
She put him down on his bed and removed his shoes before lifting the blanket over him. She smiled when she saw his son still in deep sleep.
"You got really tired playing with your cousins." She then made sure that the curtains were pulled before leaving her son.
She grabbed her bag before making her way to their bedroom. She opened the door and nothing could have prepared her for what she saw.
"Vince!" She didn't notice that fresh tears started coming down from her eyes as she took in the view playing out in front of her.
Two heads snapped towards her direction. Her husband Vince lying down on their bed in nothing but his boxers while a blonde bimbo is splayed on top of him. The bimbo had her jeans on but her shirt was off revealing a black lacy bra.
Seeing her there, the girl hurriedly went off of Vince and grabbed her shirt that was on top of their dresser opposite their king size bed.
After putting on her shirt, the girl went towards her direction clearly aiming to go out through the door behind Jessica.
She then put her right hand up signalling her to stop. The girl stopped on her tracks with stress and fear clear on her face.
Jesica then looked at her husband who was still lying on the bed with a blank face, looking like he doesn't have a care in the world as to how she was feeling right now.
"Who are you and how long have you been doing this with my husband?" She returned her furious look on the girl, questioning her just how long they've been stabbing her behind her back.
The blonde gave her a nervous glance before looking back down on the floor. "Just this once. I promise you. I just couldn't... He told me you weren't around... Please, I don't wanna be involved in any scandal.I'm just starting with my career!" The girl had the gall to look at her with those pleading eyes, tears starting to form at the corners of her eyes.
"Scandal? And you have the gall to ask me to not let anything go out when you clearly know that Vince is a married man?" She was so angry that she could not even shout, the calm voice hiding just how much fury she felt inside.
"Go! Just go! I don't wanna see your face ever again. Don't worry, its as much as Vince's fault as it yours. Heck, you didn't do most of the damage seeing as you are not the one married to me. You know your way out." She then side-stepped and looked as the girl scurried out of their room.
She then looked at her husband who finally managed to stand up from the bed heading towards their bathroom. "How could you do this to me! It was a good thing that I dropped off my son before entering this fu*kin bedroom or I would have dropped him on the floor."
Vince's head slowly turned to look at her. "What? Do you want to hear me saying I'm sorry and that it was not gonna happen again?" He asked him with a blank face his hands resting on his hips.
Her face had shock written all over it. She didn't know who she is talking to right now. He clearly isn't the guy she married a few years back. "Who are you and what have you done with my husband?" Tears started coming down her cheeks once again.
Vince gave her a bored look before wiping his face using his hand showing just how irritated he is with the conversation. "I am going to tell you this just once so you better listen, I'm not gonna say sorry and I don't regret what I did... Or whatever it is I could have done if you didn't barge in. I don't care how you feel, I'm going to take a bath." He then truned around and continued on his way to the bathroom.
Jessica felt the entire workd collapsing on her as she heard every word that came out of his husband's lips. She didn't know what took over her but she just ran her way towards him and stopped in front of him. "You are such an asshole!"
Jessica slapped him hard on his face. Once, twice, he didn't know how many times she tried hitting him. She hit him on every part of his body that she can reach, wanting him to feel even a tiny portion of what she's feeling right now.
After what felt likean eternity, she stopped and felt weak, ending up in a kneeling position in front of Vince. "I don't know what I did wrong to deserve this from you. You have been ignoring me these past few weeks but you wouldn't even tell me what I did wrong. I'm sorry, for whatever it is that I caused you. I'm sorry I came into your life. I'm sorry that I fell in love with you." She sobbed on her hands feeling that this was it, the end of their marriage.
She slowly stood up and made her way to her closet. She grabbed her luggage and opened it. She then started throwing all her clothes inside the luggage not caring which are necessary and which are not.
She looked at Vince who was standing near the door leading to their closet. "Why? Just tell me why so I won't have to spend my lifetime thinking what have I done wrong to deserve this."
Vince looked at her with a blank face and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. Its just that she was so hot I couldn't keep my hands to myself."
It was probably the way he said it or the way he was looking so unaffected that Jessica made her way back to him again and slapped him once more. She then proceeded to hit him on his chest with her balled fists.
She stopped abruptly and took two steps away from him. "Remember the time you asked if we can go out on a date? I asked you why you werewasting your time on someone as plain looking as me. You told me that I was the one you wanted to go out with, not some blonde bimbo from Hollywood. How about the time that you asked me to marry you, do you remember anything that I told you? I told you that you should think about it first. I told you I am never going to be as beautiful, as sexy or as talented as the girls you see on a regular basis. But you told me that I was more than enough for you. I believed in you. I believed in us. I don't know what happened along the way but I can't stay in this kind of life anymore. This is it for me."
She then returned to her luggage and continued packing her things. She doesn't think that it was still possible but her heart broke into even tinier pieces when she heard the door closed. He didn't even stop her. Maybe she really is doing the right thing.
