[don't wait for me after school, i'm running off today with sb from my class lol]
kuroo squeezed his phone harder. kenma had never skipped school or ran out from his lessons like that. he knew that the boy is going to get into trouble with his mom, too. why bother then?
kozume had been going out with these guys even more lately. it pained tetsuro's heart to hear all the stories from his friend, but at the same time it just geniuely sounded like he's having fun with them and kuroo could do nothing about it but tolerate. it just bothered him that he actually doesn't know anything about them. he saw them a few times going out of school with kenma, but none of them were living in the same directions as them, so he was always coming back with kuroo.
it was the first time he was going back alone, except a few times when kenma's mother decided that he's sick enough to stay at home.
he sighed. it was something so small, but for kuroo it felt like they were distancing. maybe he was overreacting. he had other friends too. yeah, exactly, and he could go out with them, right away. he even got mad at himself. why did he let his other friendships mold so much?
[hey bo, haven't met for a while, wanna go out today?]
bokuto was his other best friend that he trusted with his life. he had realized what kuroo feels for his best friend a long time ago, but he didn't confront him about it, instead, he always tried to push the two even closer to each other.
that's why it confused him so much hearing his best friend brag about how his relationship with kenma is falling apart. he knew it wasn't really that serioud and kuroo was exaggerating, but there's always a grain of truth in every worry like that.
,,i don't know, man, can't you just tell him how you feel? you know, that you feel kinda, left out" he leaned into his chair. it was a warm evening and they decided to sit down at these cafeteria tables in the town. they were waiting for their order, it was already getting dark and they decided to end their meeting with some sweet desserts.
,,if it was that simple... how would that sound? i'm mad that you have other friends now" kuroo groaned and laid his head down on the table.
,,no, but you're still his friend too. if you told him honestly, im sure he would, like, understand and definitely- hey, isn't that him?" bokuto frowned, taking a better look at the group sitting outside the bar across the street.
kuroo jerked his head up and imidiately took a glance at mentioned boy, and regretted it right after.
there, in fact, was kenma. he wore low waisted jeans that nicely suited his thights and were wider at the calves, along with tightly fitting shirt which was pointing out his slanted waist.
damn.
he was sitting on a high chair, his back arched as he was leaning onto the table, where stood cups of beer and other drinks. there were four other guys with him, which kuroo didn't really recognize and everyone was smoking. in fact, he watched his friend pull out a pack of cigs out of his back pocket and take one into his mouth too, waiting for one of the visibly older boys to light it up for him. he laughed, blowing out the smoke and most likely telling them a story as he was expressing everything with his hands where the cigarette laid between his fingers.
it made kuroo's heart ache. until now, he was the only one who heard kenma laugh.
,,damn bro, i didn't know kozume smoked" bokuto said as the waitress placed down their orders on the table.
,,yeah, i didn't know either"
the cherry flavored cake didn't really taste that sweet this evening.
