My day has arrived. Today I'm turning 18 at 11:59pm, and there will be a new alpha. Usually alphas would have their mates before 18 but my family believes they'll come eventually, along with the pack healer.
"Its completely natural," Autumn stated, "its not the first time an alpha was risen without a mate by his side. You'll still be a great alpha." She smiled. A healer like her was hard to find, she's just like her grandmother, the healer before her. A bright girl, pretty, and very strong willed.
A day of preparing for the party for tonight, and the future beta helping. Noah and I where always close, raised together, he was the closest person I had to a brother, but he wasn't like most. He had been with many girls, and had lost his virginity before meeting his mate. I don't agree with that, many don't, but no one has the right to correct the beta but the alpha, and their was much more pressing matters. He did find his mate though eventually at 16, Clytie. She was the healers best friend, and helped her, but right now, was helping the rest of the pack with preparing for tonight.
Tonight everyone will be dressed their finest, and will show up at the cliff for me to start the first hunt of me as alpha. Tonight everything changes.
