Watching A Scary Movie Together

It's movie night for you and Hailee. She's extremely excited since it's a movie she hasn't shut up about at all. When it finally came to streaming services she didn't waste a second.

Hailee came back with a big bowl of popcorn and plopped down next to you. "I'm so excited!" She practically squealed making you giggle. You hit play having no idea what was in store for you.

The first jumpscare is when you knew it was gonna be scary. You screamed at the top of your lungs making Hailee jump and hid your face against her shoulder.

She chuckled only to stop immediately when you looked at her, tears in the corners of your eyes. "Oh baby," She pulled you against her in a protective hug. "Don't worry I'm right here."

You would've pushed away from her but you were too scared. "Why didn't you tell me this was gonna be scary!" She was so gonna pay for this.

"Because I knew you wouldn't have wanted to watch it with me." She pouted. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to watch a good movie with you."

Now you felt bad, but also terrified. "We can watch what you want to next?" She looked at you hopefully. "Fine.." She pulled you into her lap to where you could easily hide your face easily.

Throughout the movie you kept jumping and tensing up only to have Hailee reassure you she was right there. She was definitely gonna pay. By the time it was over you were a shaking mess, making Hailee feel even worse for not telling you at the start.

It was only when you started sniffling and she swore her heart cracked. "Baby.." She gently moved your head to face her. Your eyes were puffy and red accompanied by a quivering lip. She almost choked up at the sight.

"Why didn't you tell me you would get this scared?" Hailee stroked your cheeks with her thumbs. Scared was the worst way to describe how you felt. You felt traumatized and betrayed. "Because you would've babied me and you already baby me enough. Meanie.."

She sighed looking down at you and pulled you closer if possible and rocked you back and forth. "Like you're doing right now." Her fingers found their way through your locks as she continued to try and comfort you and make you less mad at her. "I can't help it, you're just that cute. Plus you're tiny compared to me. Cute ass bitch."

A smile creeped it's way onto your lips. You opened your mouth to argue only to have Hailee silence you with a finger to your lips. "Uh uh, you're cute and there's no denying it. Especially when you need me to protect you." Foul. Absolutely foul. "That's-jail right now." Her brows furrowed. "Why?" Yet the tint smirk that made itself known said everything.

"You know why." This earned a chuckle from Hailee before she stood up with you still in her arms. "Let's get you your favorite blanket and stuffed animal. Alright?" The mere mentioning of the two items made you excited and you swung your feet back and forth gently. "You're half-forgiven."

The sentence came out slightly muffled but still got Hailee's attention. "What'd you say?" You shrugged and she sighed as she reached the top of the stairs. You laid your head on her shoulder making her giggle. A hand made it's way to your back rubbing slow circles. You could feel your eyes getting heavier by the second and squirmed in Hailee's arms.

"Go to sleep baby." The exhaustion from being terrified for two hours straight had finally caught up to you. Hailee laid down with you still in her arms and covered you both with the blankets on your shared bed. "I'll be here to keep you safe. I love you peanut." She kissed the top of your head before you succumbed to sleep.
