I awoke abruptly to a scared sounding Clary. I take in my surroundings and notice what this was, Magnus taking away Clary's memories. Except I was there too, strapped into a seat as well.

"Mum, I don't want to do this." Young Clary cried.

Younger me sat there for a second before replying, "Is Maggy going to take away my memories again? It didn't work very well last time." Jocelyn had done this to me before? Why can't I remember? Because my memories were taken away dumbass.

I stayed on looking as magnus bickered with Jocelyn before noticing that my memories were put into an object. My ring.

I awoke frantically looking for my ring, where could I have put it. Then I remembered that it slipped off my hand at the Pandemonium. How stupid could I have been?

I ran down the endless hallways struggling to find Alec's room. I turned the corner before a sudden crash knocked me, sending me tumbling to the ground. Large hands gripped my waist to stop me from hitting the ground. "I am so sorry! I should have been looking where I was going, I just needed to find.." I look up to see Alec, "Alec! My ring, I think I accidently gave it to you, I kinda need it, it's very important."

He looked bemused by my sudden distraction from my apology. I stared up at him, waiting for his response as I noticed the proximity between us. A blush creeping onto my face. "Your sister seemed very frantic as well, is there a reason why?" Curse your curious mind Alec, now I have to explain.

"Memory, Warlock, Memories, in ring." I smile towards him as he gives me a deadpanned look. "Jocelyn took me and Clary to this Warlock named Magnus, who took away our memories, Clary's were put into an orb but mine were put into my ring, I can extract my memories from the ring!" I was desperate to know what Jocelyn was hiding, it felt like more then just the Shadow world.

"I have the ring on me but you wouldn't be able to get your memories back, only the warlock who took a persons memories can retrieve it, I thought you knew that?" my shoulders slumped in remembrance. I look up at Alec who has an almost sympathetic look. "Hey, you said it was Magnus Bane right? He is a world known Warlock, we can find him, we can try." I saw the faintest of smiles show.

Before I could stop myself I hugged him. "Thank you, for giving me hope." I let go, before scurrying off, afraid, very afraid. Why did I do that?

I walked into a dimly lit room, the rustling of movement peaking my curiosity. Simon stood among a messy room, items littered around the floor as he tried to pack the things he had. A frown made its way onto my face.

"Simon! Why are you leaving?" 'I thought I convinced you to stay' were the words that fell short of breath.

"I thought I could handle this, but I can't, I want to protect my family from this, all of it." Simon looked as if he hadn't slept in days, this world, the one he stumbled upon getting the best of him. I offered a comforting hand to his shoulder. I needed to protect him but stopping him from leaving wasn't the way to go.

"I get that, and I won't stop you, but you need to be careful, you only know what you will become, not the effects of becoming it, I, I can't help you in that aspect Simon, but I will be here okay? If ever you need me. I need to go to Clary, please , think about this, okay?" I couldn't stop him, I knew I couldn't, it just hurt to know it will all end up the same.

I sighed before giving him something, a bracelet. "Take this, it's supposed to help with luck, I made it." I smiled slightly as he put it on. Simon nodded his head and continued packing what minimal stuff he had, I helped with what I could.
