So this idea has been bouncing around in my head for a while, and now that I'm back in a TMNT kick and getting back to rewriting Raph and Scarlet's story, I figured it would be as good a time as any to put it into writing.

hope_forever_18 and WinterRaptor, I thought it would be fun to see how our OCs would all interact with each other, so here's this chaotic little one-shot. I haven't read y'all's series in their entirety in a while, so I apologize if some details or aspects of your characters aren't totally accurate. Other than that, I hope you enjoy :)

It's a calm night in New York City...on the surface, at least. Below ground is a different situation entirely.

The Turtles have gone on patrol for the night, and as such, one would expect the lair to be still and quiet in their absence. Instead, a handful of humans and other mutants are gathered in the common area, making the place anything but. Their mission is simple: decide on a movie to watch while their reptilian friends are gone, so they can start watching it when they get back. They've yet to succeed, having gotten sidetracked.

On one end of the couch sit two blondes, a girl with blue-gray eyes and a boy with one brown eye and one blue. They converse and joke with one another, discussing everything that comes to mind. On the other end, a pale brunette with freckles and icy blue eyes lounges, listening to her brother ramble as she flips absentmindedly from channel to channel on the TV. Two more girls sit on the ground in front of the couch: a brown-skinned human with striking green eyes, and a cyborg mutant with stark white hair.

"...Look, all I'm saying is I've never seen my dad and Chuck Norris in the same room," Tyler says.

Annalise explodes into laughter. "That's awful!" she snorts, elbowing him in the side. "Shelby, your brother is hilarious!"

"You'd think that, until you have to live with him," the brunette scoffs.

"Don't listen to her," Tyler says with a playful wink. "She's just a hater."

"I'll turn you into a popsicle."

From her spot on the floor in front of Shelby, Hazel snorts with laughter. Her fingers move deftly through her long mane of chocolate-brown curls, sectioning, parting, and twining the strands together as she works to braid her entire head. Sarina studies her rather intently, fascination evident on her face and especially in her eyes.

Hazel notices the cyborg's gaze on her and chuckles. "You know I'm not doing anything special, right Sari?"

Sarina blinks. "I apologize if my watching you is unsettling. I've never seen hair styled in such a manner before and I wish to observe, that's all. You have a such a fascinating technique."

"Thanks. My dad had no idea how to do my hair after Mom died, and neither did I, so I taught myself how to braid. That way I can keep it braided up and not have to worry about it." She lets out a breathy laugh. "Just curly hair things."

"How interesting." Sarina's eyes flash.

Two more human girls sit near them, one with tanned skin and black hair with red tips, the other younger with brown eyes and a long brunette braid. The latter holds a bright red guitar, trying to balance it in her lap despite the fact it's nearly as big as she is.

"Like this?" she asks, giving it a tentative strum. The resulting sound is awkward and shaky and she cringes.

"Not quite, poco rojo," the older girl chuckles. "Here, let me show you." She flicks a strand of ombre hair over her shoulder as she takes the guitar from her and demonstrates. Her strumming is far smoother, the sound much prettier despite her lack of effort. The younger girl's eyes gleam with admiration as she watches.
