SCARLETTE VERMILLION likes many things but crowds was a define no in her book. There were always too many rowdy people, bumping you around and making you fall flat on your face. Scarlette would do anything to avoid crowds. Stay home from school, fake being sick, sell an organ, anything so that she could be away from the craziness that is a middle school football game. She did great for the first year of middle school, staying away from all the craziness. Her streak of never attending any sports game was going strong until one fateful Friday when her friend and "boss" asked her to film a football game for the AV Club.

"Ace, as much as I enjoy our friendship, I've told you I hate the idea of attending a Football Game. Especially this one." Scarlette Vermillion pleads, walking beside her best friend Ace McFumbles. The two have been friends since Kindergarten ever since Scarlette helped Ace grab a box that was a little too high for him to reach.

"Like I said Scar, I need a reporter and Chauncey is helping me film in the booth. Unless you want to talk into a microphone, it's the sidelines with a camera for you."

"Cmon, I said I would cover anything else but sports. I know how much you hate covering the Schools Board Meetings, I'll do those. Please, anything but this."

"As tempting as that sounds, you need to get out of your shell. In a couple of years we will be in High School! I don't think your shy hide in a corner act will go over well there." Ace says, shoving a Camera bag into the petite Ginger's hands.

"I hate your logic. What time do I have to be there again?"

"Six O'clock sharp. We can't miss the band, or else you know how the principle will react." Ace shudders, remembering the one time he forgot to give the band a bit of time on air. He was shoved into a locker by a tuba player. It took Scarlette twenty minutes to get him out of the locker.

"Yeah yeah, cover the band, make sure the players are in frame and don't get run over. I gotcha. This is the one favor I'm doing for you." Scarlette grumbles, showing the oversized camera bag into her locker.

"You are in the AV Club, this isn't really a favor, more like a job. Think of it as if you are getting paid."

"But I'm not getting paid Ace."

"I said think, I'm not paying you. This club is a half credit already!" Scarlette laughs, as the lunch bell rings. She looks at Ace who rolls his eyes.

"I'll see you at the lunch table. I need to ask Troy Dixen about his game plan. See you Scar!" And with that Ace was lost in the sea of hormonal teenagers, and Axe body spray.

"And I'm alone again. Great." Scarlette heads for the lunch room, trying her best to avoid the crowds, but in a middle school you can't really avoid crowds. So when she got to her lunch table she let out a breath that she was holding.

"Hey Scarlette!" A voice says behind her, making the ginger girl jump in her seat.

"Oh Hi Pepper, Bella. How are you guys doing?"

"Pretty good, just waiting for Sophie. Are you coming to the game?" Pepper asks, her smile blinding Scarlette.

"Yes. Ace asked me to film for the AV club so I'll be on the sidelines, filming next to you guys and the football players." Scarlette shudders, thinking about the sweaty, smelly football team. Especially "The Troy".
