Rafe's POV
"Let's go" I say slowly opening the door we tip toe around trying to be as quiet as possible.
"Wait" Liv says I look and there's a guard. "Run" I say grabbing Liv's hand. We run and hop on a truck.
Olivia's POV
"Rafe stop!" I exclaim as he throws the poor guy over and off the truck. Rafe sits down. "You didn't have to do that" I say "you don't know he might've snitched" he says, I look over at Kie.
She rolls her eyes. "We're coming up to a checkpoint get under the tarp" I say we all hide under the tarp, I laid next to Rafe in between him and Kie. I felt fingertips glide up my thigh I look over at Rafe and he has a grin looking down then looked up at me.
"Stop" I whispered he smiles and stops.
"Okay my boat is over here" he says hopping on his boat. "I can't." I say backing up "what?" Kie says "what?" Rafe says "I'm not leaving JJ and John B I have to help them, I already lost them once and that's not happening again" I say walking away, "absolutely not" Rafe says getting off the boat "hey do what you need to do and I'll get her" Kie says. "Hey hey" Kie says grabbing my arm "we take the boat" Kie says "huh?" I say "just follow my lead okay?" Kie says "fine but I am not leaving and I will jump off this boat" I say walking back with Kie.
Kie goes over to undo the anchor "Rafe I need help" she yells "do I have to do everything?" He says walking down. He unties the anchor and Kie pushes him off the boat "holy shit" I say "go go go!" Kie yells I start the boat and go.
"What! Liv! Liv! Kie!" I hear Rafe yelling "now we gotta find the rest of us" Kie says I look at her "yeah" I nod, Kie texted JJ through the phone she had saying meet us at the doc.
We sat there and waited... and waited... and waited...
"JJ?" Kie says peering around the corner I get up and look, this look of relief flows over JJ's face "jj!" I say running up to him, we hug for what feels only a few seconds. "I'm so happy your alive, are you okay?" JJ asks "of course I'm alive JJ" I say, I hug the others, we getting ready to leave when John B starts running off, "where the hell is he going" I say "he's going to look for someone he'll be back soon" Sarah says "Jesus Christ" JJ says "we don't have time!" I yell "hell be back" Sarah says sitting down "when we get killed I won't be surprised" pope says.
*20 minutes later*
"Uh guys?" I say looking at us being surrounded "we gotta go!" Pope exclaims grabbing the wheel of the boat "wait what about John B" JJ says "JJ" I sigh "no we can't just leave him" JJ says "Sarah what do you want to do?" Pope asks "go" Sarah says sitting down "are you serious" JJ says "JJ he'd want us to go he knows" I say we speed off into the open waters hoping to find our way back to outerbanks.
I'm talking to pope and Sarah downstairs.
"Are you guys worried about John B" I ask "he knows what to do" pope says "yeah he can handle himself" Sarah says. "I'll be right back ima go get JJ" I say getting up.
I walk up the stairs and see JJ and Kie..
"What the fuck" I say JJ turns around "Liv it's not what it looks like" JJ says "Liv" Kie sighs. I walked back downstairs and just wanted to be alone.
"Hey" I hear pope say "hi pope" I say "how you doing" he asks "well I've had a rough couple weeks actually I've had a rough few years" I say "yeah, hey look I know your probably pissed at JJ and Kie right now but going back to the island now is not the time to have problems between eachother, we need to stick together like we always do" he says I look at him "come on I'm pretty sure I can convince this losers to play a game of uno" he continues "yeah sure" I say.
"Hey" JJ says I just look at him. We start the play uno but it's very uncomfortable, "yeah I can't do this" I put my cards down and get up "Liv wait" Kie says "no because you were suppose to be my best friend and here you are trying to get with my brother, wait remind me didn't you just break up with pope?" I exclaim she just looks at me "Liv calm down" JJ says "your pathetic she is just gonna break your heart like she did John B and pope" I say I glance over Sarah looks at Kie then John B.
"You know out of everybody you should be the one to understand you can't control who you have feelings for!" Kie yells I look at her "I mean we all know about you and Rafe" she continues "Kiera stop" Sarah says standing up "this conversation is over, Liv come on" Sarah says putting her arm around me leading me to the front of the boat.
We sit down, I pull out a joint. "Why would she bring up Rafe" I question "I don't know, you both got pretty deep" Sarah says accepting my pass to her.
"Yo yo this you!" I hear JJ yell we look at eachother maybe it's John B!
"Go back to obx" "I'm fine" John B says
"I'll meet you at Kildare" he says before the call disconnects
"As long as he's alive" I say "he said go so we go" Sarah says "Sarah listen" "JJ we cannot risk going back there" i interfere he looks at me then back at the wheel.
*later that night*
I hear pope and JJ talking as I make my way down to Sarah and Cleo. "Who's lying right now" I hear JJ say "if your asking if I like it, no it's not my favorite thing ever but I'm not going to stop you it's your choice, do what you want man" pope says JJ walks away.
I see Sarah sorts just staring at the stars so i sit next to her, "he'll be okay" I say she puts her head on my shoulder.
We finally get back to the outerbanks and drop Sarah off to John B's hopefully he's there.
