0100 Hours

Above the a military base on the coastline a blue plane barrels towards the trees, landing and engraving itself in a pile of dirt and mud. The driver, a white hedgehog, popped out of the cockpit, unconscious.

0200 Hours

"Where am I?" spoke the white hedgehog, awakening to find himself strapped to a chair in a dark room "Hey! I can't move! Someone help me!"

"Quiet!" ordered an orange cat with bright blue hair, walking through the door with a black hedgehog with bat wings.

"Why did you bring me here?" asked the white hedgehog.

"Why were you flying over our base?" asked the black hedgehog with the bat wings.

"I had no idea it was a base." answered the white hedgehog.

"Likely story." growled the orange cat, emitting a flame from his right hand.

"Hold on Flamer." commanded the black hedgehog "Are you aware of who shot you down?"

"No."

"Release him."

"But Jerome..."

"Release him Flamer! That's an order."

Ticked off, the orange cat known as Flamer, placed his gloved hands on the ropes. The ropes fell off the white hedgehog and onto the floor, singed at the ends.

"Now that I'm free I think I'll head back to my plane." huffed the white hedgehog, dusting off his blue coat.

"I'm afraid you can't do that." murmured the black hedgehog "The plane is most likely totaled. And if the ones who shot you down is who we think they are then there's no going back."

"But I left some important things on that plane!" cried the white hedgehog "I have to go back!"

"I'm sorry, but there's no way you're going back there." said the black hedgehog "So you might as well get used to it here."

"Wait, you're just going to keep me here against my will?"

"More like keeping you out of harm's way." added Flamer "Which I still don't get. You flew over our base. You headed in the direction of the robot's hideout."

"I'm not involved with them okay? Get off my back."

"Come on, I'll introduce you to the rest of the team."

"Jerome, you ain't gonna recruit this guy are you?"

"Relax Flamer. When he said he wasn't the robots he meant it." commanded Jerome, before turning his attention to the white hedgehog "It's sort of a sense that I have. I can tell when someone is lying and can tell when they tell the truth."

"Are you sure this guy is telling the truth?"

"What's your problem?" the white hedgehog spoke up.

"You've been living in out here with an army of evil robots trying to kill you you'd have problems with every newcomer that comes by too." Flamer defended.

"I'm sorry." said the white hedgehog "But I'm telling you, I'm not working with those robots. If you can only give me some way to prove it."

"I think we can do that." said another black hedgehog, walking through the hall, this one a female.

"Stranger, this is Mikayla." said Jerome.

"How do you do? Um...."

"Morgan. Morgan the Hedgehog."

"Morgan. I think I might have just the thing for you."

"This is Faller 9." said Mikayla, leading Morgan into a hangar housing an aircraft.

"Why do you call it Faller 9?" asked Morgan, taking in the beauty of the craft.

"Cause it's been shot down nine different times during battle." said Jerome.

"And each time the baby has gotten right back up." added Flamer.

"It's your duty to take care of her." ordered Mikayla.

"Alright, but I'm gonna need some tools." said Morgan.

"They are right in the cockpit, use them when you need to." said Mikayla.

"Jerome! Jerome!"

Outside the hangar a yellow hedgehog wearing glasses came running onto the base.

"Nas, where's Felina? What's wrong?" asked Jerome, worry in his tone.

"Felina is fine, but I saw the robots heading East. I overheard them talking about an explosive. I have no idea what they're going to use it for, but odds are it's bad." huffed Nas.

"East?" said Morgan "That's the direction my plane landed."

"It's probably getting torn apart by robots now." growled Flamer "Most likely gonna be used for upgrades or for building weapons."

"I have to go and check on it!" said Morgan, rushing pass Jerome.

"Hold on." ordered Jerome, grabbing Morgan by the arm "Flamer is probably right, the might be just scrap metal by now."

"But you don't understand." argued Morgan, pulling out of Jerome's grip "There's something hidden in the plane. Something important."

"What?" asked Flamer "What is it?"

"A weapon." answered Morgan "If we hurry up and get the crash site I may be able to disconnect it and bring it here to put on the Faller 9."

"You do realize it could be dangerous?" asked Jerome.

"I know." answered Morgan.

"The robots could easily tear us limb from limb."

"I know! But we have to try."

Meanwhile, miles away from the base, a robot watched closely on the monitors. Watching the heroes as they prepare to head East.

"It is all going according to plan." laughed the robot, petting a small robotic pet, sitting on the arm of the chair.
