This chapter will be told in the POV of Professor Klepton.
I was a young scientist, in my early twenties. I never had a companion. Only the villagers that lived amongst the trees. I was lonely. I made a robot with this technology I found while out in the woods. I placed each piece together, and my creation was born.
Over time I taught him to speak and to do tasks. I fed him knowledge and he fed me. Then one night...
"Robot? What are you doing?"
I came home one evening to find him creating more robots.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked.
"You need more help father." he replied "I'm giving you help."
I grabbed his hand and looked him in his robotic eyes. He had a look upon his face... as if he were angered that I tried to stop him.
"Why do you stop me father?" he asked.
I released his hand and took a deep breath.
"Robey... I don't need any more help. Not this much. Not like this."
I don't know what caused it, I don't know if it was my words, the way I pampered him, but he picked me up and slung me to the ground. I could feel his hand grip my neck. He squeezed. For a moment I felt all my airways closing, until he loosened his grip and left. I don't know why he didn't kill me, but part of me wants to believe there is still some good left in him. As he left, he and his robots laid waste to the village. Many of the villagers perished, except for one. I took him in and raised him as my own. A young turtle, who had his shell completely torn off. He was still alive and I nursed him back to health.
"Who... Who are you?" asked the young turtle.
"My name is Professor Klepton." I answered.
"What is this place?"
"This is my shack. You're in my laboratory."
"Wow. Neat."
The young turtle hopped off the medical bed I put him in and looked around.
"Hey this is a nice coat." said the turtle, picking up a brown jacket.
"Oh yes, that's a very old jacket of mine. You may have it if you want."
"Really? Nice."
The young turtle put on the jacket and turned to show me. Although it was rather big on him I thought it suited him nicely. I raised this young turtle as a son. But what we didn't know was that danger lurked beyond the waters.
At the edge of the swamp, Geno and I picked blackberries to make a pie. As I picked them one by one I heard Geno cry behind me. I turned to see my creation, standing there with Geno in his clutches.
"Let him down Robey!" I commanded.
He only laughed and threw Geno onto his back.
"If I ever see you or your... son again... I will kill you both." he threatened as I lifted from the ground.
"Why?" I asked "Why are you acting this way? This is not how I raised."
He paused for a moment, before turning back.
"You never truly appreciated me." he said quietly "You were always the one to do everything. Accomplish it all."
"You are jealous?" I asked.
"No. Not jealous. I am capable of so much, yet you were too scared to let go. You held me back! And now your village paid the penalty."
"That isn't fair!"
"Do not preach to me about what's fair! I see the light now old man!"
With one last stare Robey took his robots and left, warning that if we returned, stepped foot out of the swamp, we would be killed. I helped the young turtle to his feet and walked back home, leaving the berries behind.
"My name is Geno by the way." said the young turtle.
"Charles." I replied.
As I walked back to the hut, I couldn't help but wonder was there something I could have done to keep this from happening? Could I have not spoiled him? Could have not taught him everything I knew? Whatever the answer was I knew my mistake was out there. I was too ashamed to do anything about it. Until now.

No more POV
Inside the Robot Master's throne room, Luma and his son appeared before him.
"You again. Speak." ordered the Robot Master.
"My son and I come to you to make a bargain." said Luma.
"What kind of bargain?" asked the Robot Master.
"Well... in exchange for the jewel you have stolen from my temple... my entire army shall build for you temple of your own."
"What use would I have with a temple?"
"You could trap those meddlesome enemies of yours inside... and destroy them for good."
"Very well." said the Robot Master, turning towards Luma in his throne "You build my temple and I'll see to it that you are given what you rightfully deserve."
"Oh I will get exactly what I deserve." said Luma, approaching the Robot Master and shaking his hand.
