Atty. Armstrong observes the two who are staring at each other, "Do you.. know each other already?"
"No!" They answered in unison, shaking their heads.
Indeed, it is very suspicious.
"Okay.." Becky's mother was still looking at the two. "Well then, let's have a dinner." She expressed, pointing her hand at the dining area.
Freen's heart is beating rapidly, yet she maintains her composed and serious demeanor.
On the other hand, Becky is still in shock seeing the woman standing infront of her. Could this be the woman who did "unholy things" together with her in Seoul?
She hopes everything goes well at the dinner.
But what happens is the opposite. The dinner was terrible and a complete mess.
"Oops, sorry," Becky apologized when she accidentally spill the water on the table.
"It's okay, honey." Her mother reassures her while patting the table with a piece of tissue.
Very clumsy. Freen hissed internally.
"So, where was I?" Atty. Armstrong giggled when she forgot what she was saying.
"About my internship." Becky says before munching a piece of meat.
"Oh yeah. Well, Becky will be the intern in our law office for her last setting of being an undergraduate. She will work with other senior lawyers to organize legal paperwork like case files and evidence records." Atty. Armstrong explained.
Freen is only watching and listening to the Attorney, attempting to avoid making eye contact with the daughter; while Becky is staring at Freen's beautiful face, observing the latter's eyes, nose, and lips.
Becky's mind is occupied with this girl. Is this really the girl she met in Seoul? Or she is only a dopplegänger?
"As you're probably know, Freen, I have kept my daughter's identity a secret from the public for her safety. So, I've decided to hire you so that you can assist my daughter while she's here in Thailand." Atty. Armstrong continuous to explain.
Freen is only nodding, but she can see out of the corner of her eye that the other girl is still glancing at her.
Becky wants to temporarily let go of her thoughts about this girl but Freen's black leather jacket is making her go crazy. She looks so hot in that jacket.
This is really her. Becky thought.
But to give respect, Becky erased her thoughts about this girl and turned her attention to her mother temporarily.
"I'm glad that you accepted this offer because a woman bodyguard could be safer than some might think. Being a woman, you could put an attacker off-guard," Atty. Armstrong expressed, "And.." She looks at her daughter who is drinking the champagne.
"And.. My daughter is safe in your hands, right? Because I don't trust the men bodyguards, some of them are perverts and I know you'll not do any ungodly stuff with my dau-"
Suddenly, Becky chokes on the champagne when she heard her mother's statement, causing Freen to look at her, worriedly.
"Hey, are you okay?" Atty. Armstrong asked, patting the back of her daughter.
"Y-yea," Becky responded, continuously coughing so she grabbed the tissue paper but then, she accidentally spilled the soup on her pink polo sleeves.
"Honey! Becky, what is happening to you? Are you still dizzy because of your jetlag?" Atty. Armstrong is very concerned, "You know what, let's continue this tomorrow. Go get some rest."
