Dawns POV

Last night I had fun! It was awesome! We went to the movies, and went to dinner. The best part though was I saw Amy Kerkins, and Cecilia Ern making out! I thought Amy had a boyfriend! No wonder Any and Cecilia are best friends! They are more like friends with benefits.

I just put my shoes on, and was ready to head out. I'm going to walk around town, and maybe chill somewhere with some friends.

I ran up the stairs, and looked in the bathroom mirror. I looked hot! I had some army boots on, black skinnies, a loose pink shirt, and a leather jacket cropped at about my chest area.

Then I was out the door. The warm summer air in my face, and the wind moving my hair majestically. It was like magic.

I walked the way of the good sized town. I only live a block out of town. It was beautiful today, everyone was setting up for the parade tomorrow. It was Friday, and school was cancelled for the upcoming parade. Everyone was setting up, but I'm not interested in this kid stuff.

"Hey Dawn! Come over here, can you help me?"

"Sure? What do you need?" I walked over to Gertrude. She was nice and all, but I wasn't to fond of her. She liked to parade around, and act like she was special. Yeah she was special, but I mean in a more daddy's girl kind of way. She acted like all the guys loved her, and she even wore shirts that pushed her A cup boobs to B cups. I mean its pathetic. Some girls are just not gifted like me with C cups.

"Well, these streamers need to be put up." She pointed to the top of the float, "I need someone to operate the football player, and I need you to like, drive the car tomorrow?"

"Uh, no! I hate heights, I will not operate a robot football player, when I have no idea how! And I am definitely NOT driving the car when I don't have my license!" With that I spun around, and paraded off.

I don't normally parade off, but today was different. I was hoping that Gertrude would realize I was mocking her.

I glanced at my phone, and it read [12:37]. I've been sitting at this café for about a half an hour, and all I've bought is a caramel cappachino. I stood up, and went up to the counter.

"How may I help you?" The ladies voice rang out from the back. She then walked up to the counter.

"May I order," I looked at the menu above us, "A, uh, maybe, a, no, um, oh, a large coke, a salad, two slices of cheesecake, and a slice of cherry pie?"

"Hungry?" A husky voice said behind me. Almost familiar.

"Why don't you mind your own buisness." I said, and then spun around to see who was mocking me.

"Hey." Blayne said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I thought you were, uh, yeah." I panicked.

Blaynes POV

I walked in the café to start my work shift, and there she was. Dawn. I glanced at my phone [12:42]. My shift starts in about eighteen minutes. I have time.

"May I order," She looked at the menu above her, "A, uh, maybe, a, no, um, oh, a large coke, a salad, two slices of cheesecake, and a slice of cherry pie?"

She was adorable.

"Hungry?" Oops wrong thing to say.

"Why don't you mind your own buisness." She said menacingly. She turned around.

"Hey," smooth Blayne, real smooth.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I thought you were, uh, yeah." She said very fast.

"Here's your food." The Jamie [LADY AT THE COUNTER] told her. "That would be $8.28.

"Just put it on my tab Jamie." I told her before Dawn got her money out.

"Are you sure?" Dawn arched an eyebrow.

"Positive." I told her.

"I didn't know guys could get pregnant." Dawn joked, and giggled. She was really cute.

I laughed, and smirked at her. I hope I don't look cheesy, lots of guys smirk, and I heard it works on girls, and it makes you attractive.

"Can I sit with you?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I really don't want to look even more lonely then I already am."

She smiled, and we sat at her table, and talked, and talked, and talked.

How is it? I hope you guys like my book so far. I'm not getting many comments from other Wattpaders, and right now I'm not really confident with this book. If I get more votes, fans, and comments ill be more confident! :D I actually had some writers block for a little while. :/ I got rid of it with this chapter, I just hope it doesn't come back with the next chapter!
