SAI & SHIELDA
Yesterday as well as today were comparable. We were restless and overworked, controlled by boredom and overwork that wouldn't allow us have freedom. We were more frightened following the attack. We were protected from light—a beaming light as brilliant as the sun.
My brother was almost never the same after what happened to us. He became afraid and felt like he wasn't capable of doing anything, which made him even more stressed out. I was walking with him recently after our training session; it would have been a great time for me to relieve some stress, but unfortunately my brother didn't feel that way at all. In fact, he seemed really tired and exhausted as we walked together.
"Sai, you've been spacing out recently. Are you sure you're alright?" I ask Sai, but instead of responding, he twisted his head to the other side, avoiding having eye contact with me, and just disregarded my question. I notice him clutching his right hand, which happens to be the hand he used to manipulate his hat when it was in the air. While he was moving around with hit, he made motions with his fingers.
"You could have died because of me."
"But I didn't die didn't I?" I said in an attempt to enlighten up his mood. Unfortunately, it appears like he's gotten even more withdrawn and less responsive; I'm not very good at comforting people but at least I'm trying. Both of us stopped walking , and I felt his hand tightly grasp my shoulder— his hands were shaking uncontrollably.
"If I never had moved the hat in time, then you would have been killed and not be here." I can feel his shivering on my shoulders, I couldn't think of any response. "But you did and I wasn't."
"Why are you joking about this?! We already lost our parents and I'm not loosing another family."
"Am I joking about this?"
He must have considered my responses bothersome because he did, good. He is a fool and is aware of it. We both care so much for each other that it's annoying both of us. I was conscious that he was still continually scared of that experience— which is probably going to remain in his mind for a long time.
he's and idiot and will always be one.
"Sai, you need to shut up. I'm alive and it's good, no need to blame yourself because I'm here." I huffed. "And I will always be here."
"You're and Idiot you know that?"
"Yeah, I know."We both laugh and hugged in the end.
