ONLY YOU

WHY? JUST WHY?

Jimin is used to the sound of his front door swinging open and clicking shut at this time of the evening. Well for a fact, he was able to sense the intruder even before the said person was anywhere near his hut.

The scent of lavender turned bubbly the second it crossed his threshold and jimin doesn't have it in him to wonder how taehyung could be this cheerful for a person who just got off from hunting with other wolves.

Washing his hands, jimin dried his hands on his shirt just in time for the alpha to stride happily up to him.

'Jiminah' came the baritone voice of the alpha and jimin turned around to the looming figure in his door frame, the alpha spotting a dazzling smile on his face, hair tousled and if the omega looked closer ( which he did) he could spot small twigs sticking out from the mild mess in his head, the unruly black strands long and soft as it flutters from the wind.

The smudge of dirt clinging to the alpha's cheek and his chin has jimin shake his head with an exasperated sigh, steps unhurried as he approached the taller male.

Taehyung's smile never subsided even when jimin stood infront of him to wipe the dirt clean of his face with the end of his sleeve and the omega eyed the younger suspiciously when he saw the alpha hide something behind his back, eyes twinkling with a mischievous glint.

'Wash your hands and then eat tae ah ' jimin replied curtly, not bothering to inquire about what taehyung is hiding because the omega himself knows the taller won't hide anything from him.

But as jimin turned his back, taehyung grabbed his arms gently to twirl him around, handing him a very small bouquet in his hands (it was hardly one with the way it was composed of only dainty wildflowers haphazardly arranged into a bunch).

'I- I collected this on my way here and it wasn't a mess before but you know that damn jungkook had to tackle me into a headbutt and this got caught between us and when he finally rolled off me he stole the flowers and took off in a run and I had to chase him all the way to his house to get this back-' the alpha laughed nervously, rubbing his neck with a sheepish smile and jimin felt warmth seeping into his heart.

He focussed his eyes on the posy in his hands, fingers gliding over the smooth flower petals and the omega was unaware of the alphas eyes on him. Taehyung was softly staring at the omegas downturned head, eyes mesmerized from the bulge of his  rosy pink cheeks as a gentle smile lifted up jimin's full lips.

The taller's heart thumped wildly in his chest when the omega tilted his head upwards to direct a sweet smile at him.

The omegas scent of vanilla deepened and his wolf began wagging his tail, happy knowing something small excited the smaller male.

'Thankyou, this looks pretty' jimin's eyes dissolved into little crescents from the force of his smile, grateful eyes shining and locking with his and taehyung swallowed audibly, his wolf fighting and nagging him for not taking the omega into his arms. The scent of sweetened vanilla that wafted  into his nostrils pulled at his heartstrings and he subtly inhaled a lungful.

But you are the prettiest.

Feeling overwhelmed with growing affection for the omega, taehyung clasped his palm over jimin's, skin so soft to touch, picking a daisy from the bunch and raising it towards the smaller's hairline to tuck the delicate flower behind his earlobe, hands deftly brushing the mating mark jimin have on the side of his neck.

His wolf whined in his chest, urging him to step closer as something electric surged through him. The space between them feels immeasurable and the alpha took a shaky breath when Jimin shuddered with the gesture, flushing all the way down to his neck, the milky skin of his cheeks colouring in record speed. Taehyung brought a finger to stroke those cheeks, hands then cupping the side of his face.
