Niall
I couldn't believe how good my disguise was actually working. Granted that I would always have to go through the back of the house to get home and that Molly would freak out each time until I took it off...things were going pretty good.
Harry's sister Gemma was here the other day to spend some time with him. We told her what was going on and I knew that she wouldn't tell anyone. I knew we could trust her. I felt bad for her when the headlines of the paper the next day read "HARRY STYLES MOVES ON FROM HIS EX BOYFRIEND. TOO SOON?" It made me sick. It was his fucking sister for crying out loud. I mean, yes the media knew that Harry was with girls before me...but that? It crossed the line. Harry had to clear things up with the paps, but he and I both knew that now that people knew Harry had a sister, they'd be on her like flies on shit.
I was on my way to the airport to get my mum while Harry was setting up the guest room for her to stay in. Harry still wasn't too keen on me just letting her come and stay without her really asking. But she's my mum and I couldn't exactly say no.
I had my disguise on so that when I went to the airport, no one would know I was there. Plus, I didn't want anyone attacking my mum with questions or bothering her in any way. I had a sign with "Maura Gallagher" on the seat next to me since I knew that with my disguise, she wouldn't know it was me. She would probably think I had hired someone to pick her up. If that's what it takes to keep her safe and my relationship with Harry a secret, I'd have to do it.
Thankfully, when I got to the airport, it wasn't that busy like I thought it would be. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard to find her. I parked the car, grabbed the sign and headed inside. It was quiet for the most part, aside from the people complaining about flight delays and kids being rowdy. I held onto the sign tighter and kept walking towards where I told my mother I would meet her; at the baggage claim.
Checking my watch, I knew that she should be showing up to get her bag soon. As if on cue, bags began to appear on the baggage claim belt and people began to show up. So I held up my sign and waited.
I felt myself smile when I saw her. She just looked so beautiful and I was so thankful to have her as my mother. I watched as she grabbed her bags then began to look around; looking for me. I held the sign tighter, hoping that maybe she would see it and I wouldn't have to go after her. After a few minutes of her looking around, she finally spotted me and the sign. She started walking towards me; weaving her way through the other people still getting their bags.
"Hello?" she said when she finally reached me. "Did my son send you to get me?"
To keep up with the disguise, I nodded my head then took her bags. She thanked me and then I led her out of the airport and to the car. I placed her bags in the trunk before opening the door for her to get in. Then I got into the car as well. I could sense the awkward silence and I knew it was time to show her it was me. So I ripped off the mustache and took off the wig.
"It's me, mum!" I exclaimed, making her clutch her chest.
"Niall James Horan! You almost gave me a heart attack!" She slapped my chest hard then sighed softly. "Why are you dressed like that?"
I put the mustache and wig back on and began to tell her everything. I explained why I was in a disguise and she thought it was complete rubbish. She went on and on about how Chris shouldn't be doing this to Harry and I. Her words and I quote were, "Fuck Chris and his bloody contract." I had mentioned that Harry had proposed to me last; she was happy for me.
"And you're seriously going to go through with it this time?"
I nodded and smiled as I began to drive back home.
