ᴀɴɪᴍᴀɢᴜꜱ

After a year of waiting, mess-ups, and having to keep a mandrake leaf in our mouths for an annoyingly long time- Sebastian and I had finally done it... we had become animagi. Unregistered of course- but no one but ourselves needed to know.

Storm clouds rolled in light striking the ground being tailed by a loud cry of thunder. "Meet back here in our forms? If it goes smoothly" I said nervously. Sebastian gave me a reassuring smile with a nod of his head. "See you then" he replied.

We bid each other goodbye finding a safe and large enough spot to transform. I took a deep breath the strong wind tussling my hair. Pulling out my wand I pointed it at my heart before reciting the incantation, the potion vial that consisted of a mandrake leaf that had been in my mouth for a month, my own hair, a silver teaspoon of dew, and the chrysalis of a Death's-head hawk moth in my right hand ready to be popped open and drank.

"Amato Amino Animoato Animagus" I chanted confidently. Just as lightning struck the ground I downed the potion cringing slightly at the awful chalky taste that resided on my tongue. Suddenly the world around me felt a lot smaller. I was on all four, my ears were morphed into that of a cat's, and instead of hands and feet, I had pretty white paws.

I rolled around on the grass in excitement before remembering Sebastian, in cat form I ran towards the spot we agreed to meet at. The moonlight shined off of my pearly white fur, it was a whole lot easier to see and move as a cat.

Hundreds of smells flooded my nose all at once leaving me feeling a tad overwhelmed. Once I had reached the meeting place my tiny white body folded into an awkward sitting position, and my newly enhanced ears picked up the soft sound of a small creature approaching me.

To my surprise, a handsome black cat with dark brown eyes struts up to me proudly. I immediately knew who it was just by the strut and brown eyes. In unison, Sebastian and I returned to our human forms looking like we had just won the lottery.

"I always told you you were cat-like with all that sleeping you do" Sebastian snorted. "I could same the same for you" I snickered. "Imagine how many adventures we could go on without getting caught, it's not like it's uncommon to see cats wandering the castle!" Sebastian exclaimed excitedly.

I smiled and walked over to the boy who was bouncing off the roof bringing him back down to earth with a small peck on his lips. Sebastian looked down at me with a smile. "Promise to keep this to ourselves" I whispered.

"Promise".
