"Omega!" You exclaimed, "How long have you been in Wreckers pack?"

"Did you eat my rations?" He asked, looking around his bag after Omega stepped out.

Omega's awkward smile quickly went away and she stood quietly between the two of you. "I didn't take them all out. I've been here the whole time, I got in once you landed ship".

"Did you tell anyone you're here?" You ask, kneeling down to her level to better speak with her.

Omega clasps her hands in front of her and angled her head down clearly knowing she was in trouble. "No, I was going to tell Hunter but he was busy. I'm sorry. I came because the briefing sounded really fun, and I haven't gotten to go out in a while".

You pause and think through what you are going to do. There was no point in taking her back to your ship now, and this mission is not an actively dangerous mission. It was actually safer now that you knew she was present and could have her ride with both of you properly. However you would need to talk about some ground rules before this mission continued.

"Okay, here's what's going to happen. I'm going to call back so the rest of the guys aren't going crazy searching for you. Then we are going to talk about some mission ground rules. Alright?"

Omega nodded and sat down next to Wrecker, she opened a small pack she had brought with her bow and some rations and started eating. She focused her eyes on her meal but they darted back and forth between Wrecker and you.

You walked past your Varactyls towards the edge of the cliff wall and turned on your advanced communicator. It was designed for long range messages, and it would take a few hours to message across the galaxy. Joys of older, harder to trace hardware. You type a message to Tech

-- Hello. Omega is with us. All Safe.--

The message takes a moment to process and load but eventually it pulls up the transmitting graphic and you head back to eat with the others. After lunch you stand and get the group's attention.

"Okay, you can stay and travel with us, but you will ride with me. You need to hold on to Girdy no matter what. Do not run off or separate from us, and if something is wrong you need to communicate it to us. Sounds good? --Omega nods -Then let's go find that Varactyl".

Omega, while knowing she was still in trouble was much happier to be included. "Yes Sir" she replied "I mean, mam" she corrected. You introduced her to Girdy the way the employer had introduced you, and everyone was back in the saddle for the second half of the day.

You and Wrecker made quick work of the next couple of sinkholes, but your map was getting further and further away from the farm.

"There's got to be a better way to do this" Omega commented as you were riding, "Is there any way for Girdy and Niijee to find Takaka?" She asked.

"I don't know," You replied. In truth you were thinking the same thing. It had already been one day, a night of camping, and you were now half way through day two. It felt like you were searching for the broach again, just looking through miles and miles of grass for a single sparkle. "But you're right, there is a better way to do this". You signaled to Wrecker and stopped to have a team meeting. "We need a better plan" you start, "There must be a detail about Takaka that can help us find him".

"Maybe he has a favorite spot?" Omega asked.

"Maybe he's back at the farm already? Or somebody took im" Wrecker said.

"Both of those are possible, but we need something we can pursue" You replied, thinking it over. As you three pause and think, Nijee and Girdy become slightly restless from standing still. The Varactyls chirp back and forth to one another.
