Chapter Five

One month later
Walking up he looked at his side to see his daughter cuddling him holding him tightly smiling as he knew she misses him so much, but it was not his fault he had night shifts most times so he saw her few times, as anytime he was back she was already asleep.

Untangling his self from her he left the room closing the door softly he went down the stairs running his hands through his hair.

Looking around the living room looking for her, he heard a sound coming from the kitchen smiling he went there.

"Good morning" he greeted her, looking at her as she was busy trying to finish what she was doing but answering him with a little morning "can I help with anything" he asked.

"No no" she said "just go give Lexis her bath and dress her up we are going check some few schools today."

Looking at her surprised "really" he asked moving forward to meet her opening his arms for a hug.

What will u do with you Tay, he asked, hugging him back she patted his back before replying playfully "nothing boo absolutely nothing" he hugged her more tightly before pinching her.

Yelping she let go of him hitting him with the steel spoon in her hand while he tired to run for his life.

Waking up she turned to the other, meeting it with an empty just like most morning she signed as tears began to build in her eyes, she missed hanging out with her dad and most importantly she missed waking up cuddling him.

She need to understand their situation just as aunt Tay told her but it's hard it was like ever since her dad woke up from the hospital things started to fall between them.

She never got to know her mom and all she had was her dad who started to drift away slowly, she thoughts.

Signing again as more tears fell from her face she turned back towards the window.

She kept staring outside the window when she heard the door open quickly wiping her tears as she did not want to worry her aunt, forcing a smile on her face she turned, ready to greet her aunt.

But surprisingly she saw her dad looking at her with a smile sitting up to confirm if she was seeing right, she instantly began to crying seeing it's was her dad, stretching her hands asking for a hug as tears poured down her face.

Looking at his daughter confused,he  walked towards her picked her up wondering what might be disturbing her this early morning as she was crying.

Patting her back trying to calm her down, baby what's wrong why are you crying, he asked but the little girl kept sobbing not giving him any answer, deciding to let her be for now he kept patting her back.

After a while she stopped crying looking at her dad she asked if he could give her a bath to which he nodded his head in reply to smiling at her as he got up with her in arms going towards the bathroom.

He kept looking at his daughter as she was playing with the bubble inside the water, deciding it was the best time to ask her again as she seem happy

" Baby what was wrong with you? Why were you crying love" he asked.

Looking down shyly she answered  "because I was thinking of you Daddy I thought you left me early again so I was sad" she said.
There was silence in the bathroom for some moment, deciding to raise her head up to check her father she saw him crying.

Kneeling in the bathtub she stretched her hands to her father face wiping his tears, then kissing his nose just the way he does it to her when she feels sad.

"Daddy don't cry aunt Tay told me already that my Daddy needs to work hard for me so I understand and don't worry I won't cry again okay" she said trying to comforting her dad.

Looking at his little girl he smiled before sitting her down washing the soap on her body off her.

Wrapping a towel around her body he picked her up going into the bedroom he dropped her on the bed before going to get her clothe.

After she put on her clothes he knelt down in front of her creasing her hair lovely
" Dad is sorry my little one for making you sad okay and he promise to make things better for us so we can have all the time in the world to hangout okay" he said.

The little girl nodded her head smiling at her dad she asked " promise?" Raising up her pinky finger, connecting his with hers he said, promise little one, smiling at her he told her to go downstairs to eat while he took his bath.

He saw his daughter jumping happily in the living room as he walked down the stairs."And what's making my girl so happy if I may asked". 

Turning around she saw her dad at the edge of the stairs running to him she held his hands.
"Dad me and aunt Tay are going to look for a school for me" she said smiling.
"Are you coming too?" She asked.

Giving her sad expression he bent down looking at her "sorry Daddy as to go to work little on"he said not wanting her to be sad again.

Smiling at her dad brightly she said okay, surprising him.

"Lexis let's get going" her aunt shouted from the door.
Turning to look her dad she held his cheeks and said "dad you go out there and make your little one proud okay" she said patting his head as he chuckled nodding his head.

Kissing her cheeks she hugged him before running off to her aunt Taylor, thy both waved at him from the door before they left.

After they he quickly got dressed and went off to the restaurant for his first work.

Reaching there he went straight to the changing room to wear his work uniform, meeting some of his colleagues there talking, he greeted them a good morning before turning to change.
"Hey Damien want to buy a card, turning he said for what, it's a lottery ticket you never know you could wins" shaking his head he said he wasn't interested.
"You sure me and the guys are heading there after work"
Replying with a no thanks am good he left.

After a stressful day working he changed, heading g to his second job at the club. Walking out the front he met some of his follow worker going deciding to join them as they seem to be going to the same direction.

"Damien we are going to get the ticket common let's go" shaking his head he said he had to get to work,dragging him they said it was only going to take a minute, deciding to go with them as he had time.

Reaching there they all picked a ticket and paid for it before departing at the lady said the numbers will be out by 6pm the next day ( sorry guys I don't really know how this lottery stuff works).
