Alex and I were walking down a beautiful path in the woods when he slipped on a snail and fell into a puddle of mud. Somehow, I ended up joining him in the mud too. As he helped me up, he slipped again and we both started laughing. We found some edible mushrooms nearby, so we ran back to our group with them—but covered head-to-toe in mud. With only a little bit of water left, we didn't want to smell bad since we'd be sharing a bed that night, so we had to bathe together wearing only shorts and bras. I noticed scars all over Alex's arms—everywhere—and they looked bad. Each time I asked about them, he ignored my question and changed the subject. I'm really worried about Alex and want to get to know his secrets. Alex woke me up. "Miu...C'mon, let's go get some supplies. We'll hunt for some stuff," I said. "OK" and followed him out into the woods again. The flashlight was terrible and didn't do much, so I had to hold his hand to make sure I didn't get lost. Alex told me what resources he needed me to find and then left me alone to look for them. I was scared but managed to find the stuff and get back to Alex. He told me he'd found a cave and wanted me to go in with him; I didn't want to, but he said it would be fun so I went in.Alex showed me how to build a fire, and we sat there for a while. I was tired, so I lay down on his lap and fell asleep without worrying about anything else or if he would hurt me—I just needed rest after the zombie apocalypse and wondering where my family was. All seemed fine until I woke up to a loud scream: "Miu Miu, get up quickly!" Alex repeated until I was fully awake. When I opened my eyes, four zombies were in the cave with us and I froze. We were close to death; I didn't know what to do and was scared. Surely Alex knew what to do, but he didn't.
