I was in my room when Elijah appeared at my door holding a small box and said, "Happy birthday Kayla." When he spoke I started crying, "You can talk Elijah." He walked over to me and handed me the box he was holding. He motioned for me to open it. When I opened it music started playing and I saw a garnet heart necklace. "I was going to give it to you, Kayla." I pulled it out of the box and put it around my neck. I got up to give him a hug but, realized he is a ghost. "Elijah am I able to fell you?" Instead of answering he walked right up to me and cupped my face in his hands. I knew what was happening so I closed my eyes. I felt the warmth of his lips on my forehead and I started to cry wishing he was still alive right now. "Elijah, I love you so much." I set the music box from Elijah on my table. "Elijah, I don't what to say, other than I miss you and thank you so much." Talula walked into the room to jump on my bed. When Talula landed on me she saw Elijah's lap and curled up right next to him. "I thought only I could see you, Elijah." He looked just as confused as me. We both looked at Talula making the assumption that all cats can see ghosts. "Look Kayla I don't understand either but, I may have to answer. I will be right back." Elijah picked up Talula and passed me the little sleeping ball of silky blue fur. As I sat in my room alone I started to hear things. Not normal things like my mother's television but, voices in all the cracks and crevices of my floor. "Hello?! Who's there?" I ask hoping I will get an answer. Seconds later the voices vanish and Elijah floated into the room. "I think I found something, Kayla." As he hands me the book it catches fire but, for some odd reason it doesn't put off any heat. I let go of the book and the flames die. When we look at the book nothing was damaged it is just now locked. "What just happened here?" Elijah asked me while trying to pry the book open. I take the book from him and it unlocks and starts to flip pages. It stops on a blood red page labeled, the blood bind between the Lock and the key.

When a Ghosts spirt books comes into contact with a human, the spirt becomes bound to the human. In terms we call the human the Key and the sprit the lock. The Spirt is not allowed to leave the presences of the key or the spirt will cease to exist. So in other cases vanish from the spirt world. Which makes the spirt unable to find peace, causing them to roam the planet. The only way to break the bind is for the spirt to find the reason why it died and protect the key from all the dangers that the spirt brought upon it.

"Well that is just great, they are already here." I said in the most hilarious voice. He looked right past me with big blue wide eyes. From the look on his face I just knew that there was something behind me, so I turn around to see nothing. "Wow I can't believe I tricked you." He starts cracking up.

"Wait, Kayla what do you mean they are already here?" He looks at me with the most serious look.

"Elijah, when you were gone there were lots of different voices coming from all over the room." When I stopped talking we both heard a little girl laugh coming from all directions. "Elijah, how exactly did you die?" He looks back at me and shrugged his shoulders.

"Dude, are you saying you can't even remember how you died!? That is so stupid what the happened to your memories." I open up the book to see if I can find anything about why Elijah would not have his memories. I sit the book down as a sign that I have given up, as I set the book down the pages begin to turn. They stop on a page called spirt data.

Spirits tend to loose there memories as soon as they are bound to a key. Other times they just don't remember because it is too painful. Spirits can gain there memories back two ways. One way is by killing their key. Two is by slowly try to gain them back by going to the last place they were and going from there. Option two can take years and option one takes only a few minutes.

"Kayla we have to figure out what happened." Elijah told me right after we finished reading.

"Don't worry, Elijah we will figure this out."

"I hope so, but I also want to stay with you."

"Dude, you need to find peace."

The book began to turn pages again like it heard what we were talking about. The pages stopped turning on a page called, You Better Hurry.

The one problem with spirits is that if they don't find peace they will begin to go crazy. The spirit will first start by killing the key then many other people and will never find peace. You have about 1 month before they begin to go crazy for the average spirit.

"Elijah, you need to find the reason why you died soon."

"Yeah, I know. We better get on it."

"Dude since you can't leave me than you will just sleep here."

"I don't sleep anymore, so I will stay up and read the sprit book."

"Ok, well than I guess good night." I look at him and his eyes show a hint of sadness and worry. "You know what never mind I am going to stay awake and help you out for a while." I correct myself after seeing him look so miserable. My cheeks warm up like they are on fire as he gets closer and closer. So I can ignore the burning of my checks I open the book and notice that all the pages of the book were blank.
