Benjamin is on the way to his room after the speech. He feels strangely deranged he's worried if he would vomit in the hallway. Because of the conference held at a five star hotel and already booked him a room, he finds it convenient not to spend any more time and energy searching for it.
Just 20 more steps to arrive, he hears a man calling out his name. Benjamin takes it must be one of the authorities. If he follows his heart, being in his room might be the only option that he wants, for now. But image is what important to keep. So he decides to turn towards the one calling.
"Hello, sir. I am very honored to have you here today. I am Brooke. How are you?"
The guy has a big stomach. He must be younger than him but the alcohol seems to work its way out. The guy is almost bald with salt and pepper hair. He seems to be a filthy rich person with no sense of self-care. Only his clothes are in good shapes. As a person, Benjamin wouldn't even want to talk to him but as a businessman, Benjamin wouldn't mind considering. They both talk for a while. Exchanging questions and answers. Honestly, Benjamin wants to just ignore the guy and walk away to his room for the guy is very boring and slow. Other than that, he really doesn't want to meet the mysterious girl again.
"I saw you had your eyes on one of the girls." Benjamin is stunned. Was it too obvious? The feeling of getting caught for barely looking at a minor is fueling him up. The smell of the girl hits his nose again. Not that she's here but, he can't forget her smell. Adding to the spices, she smells nothing new. That's making him even more dizzy. Is he overreacting? Or it's not just him?
"You were recorded on the screen, that's why. Well, you kept eyes on others too but it seemed your eyes were on her most of the time. Found one to your liking, huh? I don't blame you though. She's a very beautiful young lady. Even I was bewitched by her the first time I see her."
Brooke's words aren't helping at all. To be fair, he feels disgusted by what he just heard. She might be all that but a young girl shouldn't be brought in a conversation this way."Oh look at the time! It's time for afternoon sleep! It's good to know and talk to you, Mr. Brooke. But i need to go. Rest is one of my biggest priorities anyway. See you later!"
Benjamin breaks the conversation and walks straight to his room. He tries to relax and keep the girl out of his mind by calling his daughter. His 11 year old daughter is such a sweetheart. He holds her very deep inside his heart like nobody has. One word from her calms him down like a magic spell and by that, the sleepiness finally caught to him. He lays down on the couch, setting alarm and hit the sacks right away.
The 30 minutes sleep is well enough. Benjamin feels energetic again. He wakes up, washes his face, changes into new clothes and after that, he heads to the hotel's restaurant. His stomach is rather hungry for lunch after all the walks, the talks he did this morning. But what's important for him to go now, is that the schedule for the students to eat is a bit later. One sure doesn't want to be in a crowded area just to have lunch, right?
"Hi"
Benjamin stops and look to the right. Shit. It's the girl. He tries to keep it cool by standing straight and keep from doing any suspicious body language. By what the eyes are showing, it's not impossible if the girl knows how to read body language like a book."Hi" Benjamin answered. He smiles to her sweetly, well, that one he cannot control.
"What are you doing here, very close to my room? Do you need anything?" Benjamin is furious why is there no guards outside to keep people from being close to him. He is indeed need his guards now. What if suddenly the girl stabs him? Not impossible though since being successful means having enemies. The girl scares him, or, he's afraid of what he might do to her.
