NINETEEN

Out of his brothers he was by far the calmest, even more so than the second oldest, and that's saying something about the almost dead silent spirit. He was creative, smart, and even a bit quirky in a way that had always made him appealing to be around when he was much younger, until he grew out of that childish faze. He had wanted to be close to his brothers, forever stuck in that protective embrace that they made sure held him tight, and he had wanted to live alongside them doing the work that he had seen them always doing during their spare time. He had, had wanted.

Now he wanted to be far from that mountain, far from that country and live the life he believed he deserved after so many years of being obedient to their heritage. He wanted to learn, meet new people that he liked, and people he would never like, and feel what it was that made humans keep going in life. The happiness, the hardships, and even the love that they were desperate to claim existed. Foolish mortals, if God couldn't understand what it was, what made them think they could? Aphrodite herself was a whore and she was the self-proclaimed Goddess of Love, giving her body to any man that wanted it with the thought of love sitting far into the depths of her sea foam brain.

It frustrated him, but he was so entertained watching them bind themselves to people they could care less about. He enjoyed ruining marriages, ruining images, and proving everyone that he was right. No one was truly in love unless they were prepared to do the worst for that special someone...when the time comes for him to prove himself, he'll make sure to do it right for his lover. He was the perfect man, and whoever ended up with him would be the perfect lover. These humans didn't know the first thing of proving their loyalty like they should.

But he had to respect the cockroaches of the supernatural, when they mentioned through life and death, they meant it. Sticking with each other until their permanent demise. So sweet, and even a bit romantic for most, but still pathetic in the very end. They roamed around too much, took each other out in public places where harm was always possible, and even allowed for the weaker mate to get around a predator capable of destroying them in quickness...Carlisle with Esme.

And even with his thoughts, his eyes had roamed over to the blank face of Alice Cullen, the desperate 4"10" vampire that never seemed to give him a break, or his stolen shit back. He was honestly amused at the balls she seemed to have around him, but he guessed it was because she didn't quite know of his nature yet. He could've snapped her neck after finding out it was her that broke into his home, but he didn't, or at least he couldn't for now. He found her far too interesting to destroy yet, and the fact that she seemed to get more determined every time something didn't go her way was even more amusing to a certain degree.

She was currently staring out the window, and a sudden urge to peek into that little head of hers had made its appearance. Oh, how he wished he had the gift of Alois, just a peak was what he wanted, and his eyes glazed over a bit after making eye contact after so long. She'll look better if those eyes bled red like they were supposed to the color of danger matching well with his blue that gave off that false sense of security. He couldn't stop himself from grinning, the very thought of seeing those eyes look so pleasing on the brain, got him thinking that her beauty would increase.

"Class, do remember to study for your test, it counts as half your grade for the semester." His grin deepened, he had long since stopped tutoring children after the middle of the semester had come. There were few who knew they weren't going to make it, and there were some who believed that they could still push through somehow with the right amount of cramming. It made him happy, the distress on the faces of the children he had warned at the very beginning, even if it came at lessening his likability by a few points. He wanted these brats to suffer, and he was sure he had the Cullen's pissing themselves after purposefully giving them harder tests that they would surely struggle with from the craziness of it.

They poured out, and only three of the Cullen's out of four had ended up leaving completely. Alice still sitting quietly in her seat as she waited for everyone to file out the room...interesting, he saw the glances the three threw his way and couldn't help but wonder exactly what was on their mind, or at least Edward's considering he had been staring at his sister the entire time with a slightly concerned look upon his face.

This was the first time that the girl hadn't jumped up to bother him when he allowed the class to have a few minutes to themselves, she hadn't spoken a word, a mere good afternoon before sitting quietly in her seat and staring out the window as if he didn't give them paperwork to do this class period. She was a bit disrespectful, or at least for today and for once she wasn't the good little student that was curious about everything he was teaching.

"A reason why you stayed behind Miss Cullen?" He watched her flinch just a bit, a tinge of uneasiness crossing her face before she pulled some excuse from the depths of her ass.

"I wanted to ask you something." Rosalie's words flashed in her mind, but so did Jasper's. He didn't want her but hadn't kicked her out yet. He had seen it first hand when one of the girls in his class tried staying after the bell, he had promptly thrown her out with the excuse that tutoring was over, and she was on her own for the rest of the semester. It was hot, and even a bit reassuring that she had been the only one to stay after class.

"I brought- would you like to join us for Thanksgiving?" She raised the book, but that wasn't what she was waiting for.

"Thanksgiving?" He didn't have any plans, and didn't plan to have any either, but he still sat back in his seat, "Chuseok has passed already." Had longed passed, he did plan on visiting family then, but his job kept him busy almost the entire time.

"No American Thanksgiving, we'll have good food I promise." She sounded hopeful, "you don't have to accept now, but break starts next week." He was paying attention and hadn't cut her off yet.

"Heard of it," Experienced it even, but it wasn't anything special, just another Chuseok in a different month, "you want me there?"

"I do," She saw his lunchbox, he had her food in it-he liked it, "do you want to go?"

"I might," No clear answer, "why should I? You Cullen's have been bothering me all for almost the entire year, you must want something from me, no?"

"We might-I might." She smiled, "do you want to go?" For the first time since she entered his classroom, she had jumped up from her seat, and skipped over to his desk, "Mr. Kim." She had sat on the edge, her once golden eyes half lidded and bronze. Obviously whatever mood she was in before was gone now.

"I do." His eyes twinkled, all he could think about was them trying to consume food for appearances. He was going to enjoy watching rather than eating.

Alice Cullen had looked like she wanted to say a bit more, but a single glance out the window told her that it was time that she left before her siblings started getting suspicious. She was determined to prove them wrong, prove Jasper wrong. He was just upset, about what? Probably his own mate and that was her fault. She had promised to look for them, to bring them back where they belonged and she was only focused on Joshua, so maybe she deserved that little outburst of his. She'll keep looking to see if it'll make him happy again, she had managed to find her mate based off of something as little as a hand, yet she wasn't able to find Jasper's mate? She was sure if she kept looking a clue was bound to pop up, and with time maybe even the person themselves would reveal where they had been hiding all this time.

"I'll save you a spot then." It's a bit sad, the Denali's were supposed to come visit, but she guessed a little white lie to keep them in the dark a little longer wouldn't hurt. She knew exactly how Tanya could get about everyone finding a mate but her, and she knew that neither Edward nor Jasper wanted to be around her anyways. Thanksgiving would have to be spent without them this year around.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanksgiving at their place, but the whole thing won't be mentioned, just some alone time for Joshua and Alice.
Any suggestions as to what might happen? Joshua telling her a little something about him? Somebody finding out that there's more to their teacher? A sudden Vampire family showing up? Or even a little lust.
