(Author Note: Hi! So real fast, the focus will change a lot this chapter and I thought it best to warn you now. Enjoy!)

After the fight with Zack, the entire school had turned their attention to Daniel.

There were those who only wanted to become close to him simply because he was handsome and every decent thing he did seemed to be more attractive.

There were those who had wanted to become close to him because he was strong and they wanted to manipulate him into becoming their pawn and doing their bidding.

Then there were also those who wanted to get close to him to avoid becoming one of his victims, or more accurately on the receiving end of his strong fists.

And then there was Mamori who had wanted to avoid being in his line of sight simply because she knew that he was a trouble magnet even if he hadn't meant to be. If possible, she did everything she could to avoid Daniel and the other students from the Fashion class. Which had only made the protagonist more determined to become close to her despite all of the times she had given him the slip.

But Daniel wasn't about to give up any time soon. Even though he definitely should have.

At lunch time, Daniel had subtly glanced about the cafeteria to see if he could catch sight of her, occasionally advancing forward in the line as the serving ladies loaded his tray up. He was not disappointed this time as he had spotted her all by herself.

'Now's my chance!' He thought to himself, excited by the chance to speak to her.

He swiftly approached her, his palms heating up and making his tray more difficult to hold. He swallowed thickly, taking a deep breath before calling to her awkwardly. "Hey, uh, hi there." He greeted her seated figure.

Confused by the sudden attention, Mamori had turned to see who was talking. She was almost certain that whoever was speaking, wasn't speaking to her so she had paid it no mind. She shrugged and proceeded to eat her lunch, wondering when her brother would be joining her.

Daniel deflated a little, but he wasn't going to give up just yet. He cleared his throat and tried again. "Pardon me."

Befuddled, Mamori turned to peer up at his towering figure a puzzled expression on her face as she realized who it was and what he could have possibly wanted with or from her. She nodded to him, wary as to his intentions. "Hello there." She said cautiously, pausing when he seemed to perk up at her attention like an abandoned puppy eager for food. "Did you need something from me?"

Daniel cleared his throat nervously as he nodded."Oh, um, I was wondering if I could join you?"

"Why? I think that there is someone over there who really wants to sit with you." Mamori motioned over to Zoe with her chopsticks, a lean piece of savory meat between the thin wooden sticks before it was lifted to her petal lips. Said person was impatiently waiting for Daniel to join her at her table so they could eat a romantic school lunch together, wondering why Daniel was standing by an empty table.

"Oh, well...." Daniel paused, taking a moment to get his thoughts in order before coming up with an appropriate answer, blissfully unaware as to the inner turmoil Mamori was facing as a display screen had popped up before her. "I was hoping that we could become friends."

Mamori could feel sweat dripping down the back of her neck, her blood ran cold as she read the words on the display screen. A display screen had appeared. This type of thing only appears in video games and video game like manhwa or animes. So why did she have one???
