Lilith's Trap

"Aaaand, it should be here!" Alano said to himself as he hopped off the Danceverse Aero-Bus and into the foggy streets of Eternyx.

It was unusually cold.. and dark. It must be what they call "night", he assumed. As someone from Sun Horizon he'd never really seen the moon it its full glory and yet it was stunning, hypnotic even-

"AY, watch where you're goin'!" A werewolf with a thick accent said, bumping into him as they walked along the sidewalks, even if there were plenty of people walking on the roads almost as if they didn't care about dying. Or maybe dying wasn't even an option? Regardless, the werewolf was more than enough to spook Alano off his feet. He'd seen plenty of creatures in the past, like sentient Kangaroos or the worldwide famous Panda, but any kind of monster like a werewolf was new to him, and Alano wasn't really sure how to feel about that.

Still, he was lost. He could've sworn that gorgeous girl from the club had told him to meet at the Eternyx Beach Purgatory, some kind of night club by the beach where the moon never stopped shining and people could rave until the end of times, but all he saw around him were red clouds and metallic buildings.. Maybe he wasn't in Eternyx after all? But then again he'd never heard of any other Danceverse with the same vibe..

As Alano looked around for any kind of hint as to where the beach was, he couldn't help but spot an old lady slowly crossing the street as all kinds of cars and motorcycles blazed through the roads, not seeming to care about stopping, especially that truck that was going-

IT'S GOING TO HIT HER!

Using all his strength, Alano dashed at the lady and pushed her out of the way JUST before the truck could hit her.

"Hey, what's the big idea!? You almost made me drop my equipment!"
"Ma- Ma'am, the truck was going to hit you!"
"Huh? What are you talking about?" she said as a motorcycle ran right through her body, turning the lady into a brief cloud of smoke before she returned to the regular shape.
"AAAGH!" Alano yelled out, before getting lost in confusion. "Uh.. what just..? But the bike it- huh?"
She just chuckled. "You're not from here, are you?"
He let out an awkward laugh. "It's that obvious, huh?"
"A whole lot, yeah. But don't worry, Granny's got your back."
"Granny? Is that your name?"
"Well it's not my actual name but ever since my granddaughter made that song about me being dead and all everyone just calls me that. And your name is?"
"Right, I'm Alano from the far away land of Sun Horizon."
The lady seemed confused. "Whoa that's on the opposite side of the galaxy, if you came from all that far away you better have a good reason, boy."
"It sure is a good reason," he assured. "I came to meet this stunning girl I met at a club in my home land."
"Oh did you? And what's her name?"
"Well, uh, that I don't know, but I'm telling you, she's so gorgeous I could never forget her face."
She nodded. "Uhuh.. And where exactly are you planning to meet her?"
"She told me to meet her at the Eternyx Beach Purgatory, but I, uh, don't really know where that is?"

The lady put her hand up to her eyes and laughed for half a minute before speaking again.

"Right. Well, lucky for you I'll be performing there tonight. Just follow me to meet the girl of your dreams, or whatever."
"Wow so it's that easy?"

Granny nodded and Alano followed just behind her through the streets of Eternyx, walking through all the narrow alleyways and sketchy dirt paths.

And yet, he never noticed the evil grin in her face.

"And here we are" Granny announced as the two reached what looked like nothing more than a coffin.
"What? This is the club?"
"It's the entrance to the club. I can just phase through but living folks like you need to go through here if they want to get anywhere."
"Well if that's what I need to do, then I shall."
