There are moments in our lives when everything feels mysterious, and all you can do is discover it on your own.

"You're late..."

"I'm sorry, Miss. I got delayed by traffic---" Miguel paused as he noticed a man looking directly at him.

A man he hadn't expected to see in this room. He blinked twice, trying to confirm he wasn't imagining things. When he opened his eyes again, he was even more surprised.

"Mr. Thomson! I've been asking you repeatedly!"

"I'm sorry again, Miss. I apologize." He bowed politely to the teacher, but she seemed unaffected.

"You'll have to complete a set of papers. You'll take a long quiz on my subject, and after that, you'll face the consequences of being late—at the gym!"

"Pardon me, Miss Ave. But we haven't even had a lesson yet. You haven't taught us anything yet. So, you don't really have the authority to do that."

"Excuse me, Mr. Devilla??"

"I'm sorry, Miss Ave. But what you're asking Miguel to do isn't part of the rules in this school, nor in this room, nor in your class."

"Liam, please—" Miguel started to speak, but was cut off when the teacher continued.

"How dare you say that to me, Mr. Devilla?! You're just a new student here, and you're acting like you've been here longer than us!" she teased as she pointed toward the door. "Both of you, go to the gym!"

"Thank you!" Liam grinned mischievously, staring off into space.

The teacher ignored him and insisted they leave.

Liam stood up right away and walked toward Miguel, who was still staring, not sure if he should believe what was happening.

"What are you doing here?"

Liam grabbed Miguel's arm and gently pulled him out of the room. They walked at a steady pace, as though not concerned about the teacher's reaction.

"What's going on?"

"I'm just pulling you along. It seems like you're not thinking straight."

"You must be joking, Liam!"

"I'm not!"

"Then, why are you here? Are you enrolled in this school?"

"Yes, and what about it?"

"Really, in my class?"

"I want to be with you."

They continued walking, with Liam still holding onto Miguel's arm. Miguel didn't even try to pull away.

"Liam," Miguel said, noticing, then gently pulled his arm from Liam's grip. "If you think we're good now just because of what you did earlier, you're mistaken."

"And if you think I did that for you, you're assuming."

"Just leave me alone."

"You know Miss Ave will come looking for us at the gym, so you don't have a choice but to deal with me."

Liam grabbed Miguel's arm again, but Miguel pulled it away.

"You're unbelievable!"

"Yeah! I'll go crazy if you don't forgive me!"

"Miguel, I'm serious! Don't touch me!"

Liam immediately let go when he saw that Miguel was serious.

"Miguel..."
