End of Pip Warnings! <3
Apollo's POV
I sunk my teeth into the neck of a squirrel I had just caught. I almost spat it out; the blood tasted like pine straw. I unhooked my fangs from the soft neck, dropping the body to the floor and standing. I glanced around. Nothing seemed abnormal, other than the fact that the land reeked of human. It was littered with plastic, weird, triangular shaped pieces of cloth, and other things. There was even this beeping thing that absolutely never shut up. I always had to cover my ears when sleeping. The humans always came at the end of the day, around sundown.
Other than reeking horribly of humans, everything was peaceful. I looked up to see the sun was starting to go down. The two things that meant was loud noise, and more liter around the forest. Sometimes there was an occasional child or teenager who wandered to far, and sometimes I targeted them for a meal, but their blood usually tasted bitter, so I steered clear of them.
The humans call what they do "camping", as I've heard them say. Scaring them with small screeches in the middle of the night is pretty fun. I climbed up a nearby tree and looked down on the place they normally "camp". I could see them starting to set up their triangular things, beating a wooden piece into the ground.
After awhile of watching them, I saw a teenager wave to one of the adults and run off into the woods. I hopped from one branch to another after them.
The teenager stopped near a cave. I narrowed my eyes for a second before they went wide. 'I recognize that opening!' I glanced around to see a flash of white and black. I jumped down and sprinted to the teen, grabbing their wrist and dragging them to behind a bush. I peeked out from behind the bush. The badger was just disappearing into the cave. I sighed and turned to the human.
"What the hell were you thinking!?" I snapped, whisper-shouting. "That was clearly a badger den! Are you blind!?" I glared. They didn't answer, just staring. I sighed again, standing.
"What's your name?" They suddenly asked. I looked down at them, blinking.
"Nunya Business." I winked and climbed up a nearby tree, hanging down by my legs. The world turned upside down; the trees hanging from the golden-brown, pine sky, the black-blue ground tinkling with stars.
"Nooo, seriously~ what's your name?" The human stood and walked up to me.
"Fine. Tell me yours first." I smiled innocently. I knew humans were stupid, but I didn't expect them to be this stupid.
"Maxx. Now, you are?" This 'Maxx' raised a brow.
"Human are so naive." I murmured. Rain started to fall. "Gotta blast!" I said before swinging myself up and hopping from tree branch to tree branch. The human said something else, but I didn't catch it. I was too far away, and the rain was pouring down hard.
I got to my cave home and hopped down from the tree. I ducked my head as to not hit the roof of the entrance, and entered. I had line the walls with different vines, woven a vine hammock with a feather blanket, and had a few petals, leaves, and herb types littered on the floor. I had a herb storage for winter, since they don't grow well in the cold season.
I climbed into my hammock and drifted off soon to the light pitter-patter of the rain outside.Sorry this was so short! I had little motivation and no ideas- I had to switch accounts so my Berrycloud0 account will never be updated, sadly. I really enjoyed Sho, Elias, and Mateo. They will be missed. I may rewrite it, probably, if I loose interest in this book. If I do rewrite if, Sho and Mateo will be the only ones in the relationship, since I can't do poly smut- anywho, hope you enjoyed this, and stay healthy and safe out there!
