Loid was on his way home from work at the gas station, but on the road, he saw what seemed to be an injured animal. He hopped out of his truck and checked on the "animal" to see if it was still alive. It was, so he took it home to his apartment. Loid lived all alone in his little apartment so no one was there to help. The night he took that animal home he mysteriously died.

News Report

Moving on to the next topic of the night, Loid Chuckerman mysteriously died the night before last. His boss said that he was there that night but never came back the next day. Reports found blood on the side of the road believing to be his own, but not confirmed. The autopsy professional said, "He died around 3 am. The only wound we found was a slash across his stomach. His blood also seems to be contaminated with an unknown substance." There seems to be fur all over the apartment. We suspect an animal has "mauled", as you could say, him to death. There are federal agents on the scene now looking for witnesses in the building of when he came home and what he had in his apartment. For our ne-

The TV was cut off. Everyone was looking at me. "What," I asked. "Didn't you work with him?" Sally questioned. "It's not like I knew him. I only saw him around the station." I said. Really, it's not like I actually knew him, only admired him from afar. He was my colleague, but I had a secret crush on him, which I'm sure if my family knew, they'd freak out. I am a man, after all. "I'm going to bed," I said, my eyes glazed over, unwavering from the floor. My door creaked as I opened it, the room pitch black, aside from the moonlight coming through the curtains. I shut the door and flopped into my bed, letting out sobs into the snow-white pillow.

After what felt like hours, the crying finally stopped. I was drained of all my tears, even if I tried to muster them up nothing came out. Assuming everyone was asleep, I crept out of my room and headed to the kitchen for a glass of water. I tried turning on the lights, but none came. I guess the power's gone out again. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and shone the flashlight towards the sink, where it was filled with dirty dishes. I opened the cupboard with the glass cups and grabbed one, filling it with the cold tap water running from the sink. I took two large gulps from the glass, and all of the water was gone.

Before I could reach to refill my glass, a hand came from behind me, covering my mouth. My screams muffled, as I tried to break away from the person's hold. By now, I had already dropped my phone, leaving the bright flashlight shining towards the ceiling. My vision was starting to cloud with both large and small black dots. I'm going to blackout. I struggled harder and harder, but to no avail, and I was left lying on the stone-cold ground. The next moment, complete darkness encased my being, no longer able to stay awake.
