The Crew's Whereabouts: Brook

*Crash*

'A-am I alright? Where am I right now?' thought Brook

'Yohohoho that was such a scary experience that my eyeballs popped out, even though I don't have any'

Brook looked around, and saw that he was in the middle of a forest-like area. There were all kinds of wild plants growing, from every era, be it ancient, medieval or modern. Then he started walking in a random direction.

After walking for some time, he saw in the distance what seemed like a clearing in the forest with a lake in between.

"Yohoho Such a beautiful place. Let me take a break here"

With that, he settled down on a comfortable spot near the lake.

"Yo-hohoho, Yo-hohoho, Yo-hohoho, Yo-hohoho Gather up all of the crew......"

With that, a serene atmosphere was formed and pleasant winds started blowing. Brook was completely absorbed in his singing and didn't realize time was passing.

"Yohoho this is so fun. Now my next song will be-"

"Da Da Da"

"Da Da Da- wait what?"

He instantly looked down and saw a baby, with tiny wings popping out of its back, staring at him intensely with a smile on his face.

"Koko How many times should I tell you not to run off at the first opportunity you get?" came a voice from a distance.

Brook looked up and saw a beautiful, young girl running towards the baby.

"I am sorry if he caused you any- Wait what!? A skeleton!?" The girl instantly picked up the baby and went two steps back.

"You don't need to be afraid of me. I am not actually dead, or maybe I am? Yohoho"

"A talking skeleton? There are many races on this island, but I have never seen a talking skeleton before. Which district are you from?" asked the girl in a sweet voice, easing down since the skeleton didn't contain any malice.

'She isn't as afraid of me as I thought. That's a relief'

"It is actually a difficult question to answer as I am not from here. Due to some circumstances I got separated from my crew and ended up here" said Brook trying to explain it as best as he could.

"In other words, you are lost" summed up the girl which struck a chord to brook.

"Yeah you can say it that way" said Brook embarrassed

'I am not Zoro you know'

"By the way, where did you learn to sing? You really have a beautiful voice"

"Why thank you. I am flattered to hear that." said Brook

"I am aspiring to be a great singer myself, so I could tell. You are not a bad person. You said you were separated from your crew right? I may be able to help you in that case"

"Oh! That will be really generous of you! If you can help me meet with my friends I will forever be in your debt" said Brook with a bow.

"Oh no need to be so formal with me. Said that, it will still take some time. The ruler of this country is currently away right now. Once he comes back, I will introduce you to him. He is a very good person. I am sure he will help you. Till then I can find you a place to stay" said the girl.

"I see. In that case I will be in your care. Also may I see-"

*Crack*

Suddenly a bolt of lightning struck down on Brook.

"Are you alright?"

A man wearing a white coat instantly grabbed the girl and backed off.

"No! He was not an enemy. You weren't supposed to do that!" said the girl and ran towards Brook to see if he is alright.

"What? But it was an undead skeleton-"

"Are you alright?" asked the girl in a worried tone as Brook walked a step forward.

"Yohoho fear not. Since I am only bones, lightning has no effect on me" said Brook.

"Thank God you are alright!"

"I apologize for the sudden attack on you, but please understand it is my duty to protect this young girl and her brother at all costs. That is the responsibility I have been given by the ruler of this nation" said the man in an apologetic tone.

"Don't worry I understand. Sometimes even I freak out when I look into the mirror, forgetting that I am a skeleton Yohohoho"

After that, Brook explained his situation.

"So we can take him with us right?" asked the girl.

"Alright. I will trust your judgement. You may come with us. We will provide a place for you to stay until our ruler returns" said the man.

"We can also practice singing together! You are a very talented singer and I hope to learn from you" said the girl in a cheerful voice.

"Yohoho It would be my pleasure. By the way, may I know where we are right now? I have never heard about a place like this in my whole 90 year life. The flora and fauna here are quite remarkable as well" asked Brook.

"Of course. You see this is the Nation of Star Tempest. It has only recently been found and we are still in the development and settlement phase, so of course you haven't heard about it" said the man.

"I see. A newly found nation. Must have been tough"

"Yeah tell me about it! Most of the people here are slaves who have been freed from the celestial dragons and other places. Recently we have managed to bring in the necessary merchants and other people to be able to sustain ourselves, but the life is still tough. But we are very happy. Our ruler is a very nice person" said the girl happily.

"A place consisting of freed slaves? That too from celestial dragons? Your ruler does seem to be a very big deal if he managed to do that. May I know his name"

"Of course. His name is Rimuru Tempest! Such a great name"

"R-Rimuru Tempest? You mean the warlord? I see. We actually met some of his crewmates recently " said Brook.

"You did!? Where are they? How are they doing? Did they tell you anything about when they are returning?" asked the girl excitedly.

"They were very nice people and were doing excellent. I am afraid we got separated soon after that so I don't know much details about them" said Brook

"I see. That's good to know they are doing well. We still aren't connected to the rest of the world properly so we have difficulty getting the news here. But we will taking care of that soon" said the girl.

"Alright. That's enough talking. We should get going now" said the man.

"Right"

With that, the four of them went towards the main city.

'I hope you are safe Luffy-san'
