She doodled on her notebook. Class was getting by too slow. She looked up at the clock. It was 30 minutes more until 10pm.
Night classes are the worst, she thought.
She packed her bags and began her long walk home. The hour-long walk was long but she enjoyed it. The weather is usually good and she loved the smell of fresh night air. She didn't put on her earphones. Sounds of crickets chirping and the soft wind hung in the air. The moonlight shones through the lightly cloudy skies, working with the yellow streetlamps, illuminating her walkway.
The sky is nice to me tonight, she thought with a smile.
She was halfway through her walk when she noticed she was hungry. She sighed and stepped into the nearest 7-ELEVEN. Hundreds of snacks and drinkis lined the shelves in their colourful packaging. A lot of it were snack collaborations with famous animes. Japan has one of the best 7-ELEVENs in the world. Despite this, none of the snacks nor instant noodles caught her eye. As she studied the microwavable meals, a thought struck her mind.
The diner.
Oh right, I forgot to pay...
She made her way out and continued on her walk.
The Moon is beautiful tonight, she thought as she watched it creep from behind the clouds.
