"Fuel all your anger into your movements, without anger you are weak, when you're weak you cannot gain power"
"Yes master"
Y/n took a swing at her master channeling all the anger she had into her lightsabers movements. Swing after swing her arms started to give out making her sloppy, she let out a yelp feeling a fiery burn in her arm.
"You disappoint me my apprentice, go to the medicine bay to get your arm fixed and come back here, we're going to keep dualing until you perfect your movements."
"I'm sorry, master I swear I'm trying my best!"
"If you were trying you wouldn't of lost! Now get out of my sight."First person pov
A light shone through your window waking you from your dream, groaning you stood looking out at the peaceful terrain. You hated the dreams that reminded you of once were, someone who inflicted pain to gain power. At least here you had a ounce of peace, thankfully, the Wookiees of kashyyyk were welcoming to you. Slowly but surely you made you life on kashyyyk bearable, you lived deep in the forest a good distance from a village, sure living in the jungles of kashyyyk were dangerous but you had grown use to it over the years.
Preparing yourself for the day you put on a tunic and armed yourself with a small blaster and your reformed lightsaber, glancing at the shiny metal you smiled, the once black metal and red blade your saber once adorned it not was silver new metal and a bright white blade, a symbolic representation on your new beginnings as neither a sigh or a Jedi just strictly neutral.
Making your way down the little trail to the village you kept vigilant of your surroundings, luckily the jungle was silent. Once you reached the Wookiee village you climbed your way up into the trees amongst the cabins and furry creatures.
"Good morning Ta'shook" you greeted the Wookiee that stood behind a counter, he greeted back with a cry. " I was wondering if you'd be willing to trade some herbs for some sathog loins" Ta'shook looked down uttering something in shyriiwook and nodded. " great thank you" after wrapping and storing the sathogs tenderloins on your satchel you walked out onto the bridges that connected the wookiees housing you heard a commotion of a man conversing with a female Wookiee. It sounded like it was escalating so you made your way over.
"I need you to tell me where this man is!" A man in armor yelled at the Wookiee, who retaliated by letting out an angry cry. Worried you stepped in between the two," excuse me but getting in a fight with a Wookiee wouldn't be the best idea, especially with mialia, she can throw a pretty hard punch" mialia nodded in agreement with another cry following. " well can you tell her that I'm looking for a bounty by the name of Sy'thid" the man who you made out to be a mandalorian said in a rather inpatient tone.
" she can understand you, your just bad at understanding shyriiwook" mialia looked down at you and told you where the bounty's location was. " he's in the jungle about a mile from here" the man looked at me then mialia. " thank you, sorry for the confusion"
With that he turned and made his decent onto the forest floor, sighing I looked up and noticed the sun starting to set, I said my good byes to mialia and started my trek back to my home.
About half way back I heard blaster shots and ran towards them. I found the mandalorian fighting wyyyschokk's, instinctively I joined in shooting the spider like creature. After a long and stressful battle you both finally killed the hostile creatures.
" Thank you again, I guess" He said trying to catch his breath.
"You know it's dangerous to walk the jungle in the night" I replied giving him a death glare " unless you have a death wish I suggest you find a place to stay, and considering your bad interaction with the wookiees I suppose you can stay with me."
" I'll be fine, I just need to get my bounty and get back to the guild"
I looked around at the spider like creatures, " I don't think you will be fine with the way you were almost killed by wyyyschokk's. Follow me" with that I turned at started a quick steady pace back to your hut. Hearing the mandalorians foot steps behind you made pleased sigh leave your lips
Climbing up the ladder into your little hut you grabbed his hand and helped him up. You took off your belt setting it in a chest at the foot of your bed and hung your tunic on a hook, leaving you in a white tee and tan cargo pants. " luckily for you I got some fresh sathog today"
"I'm fine, not hungry"
" is it your helmet? I've heard the tales of the mandalorians, don't worry if you want any you can go out on the balcony so I won't see you," you gave him a glance, seeing his head nod you smiled to yourself and unwrapped two of the lions. You started a small fire on a stone slab and started to roast the meat. Once it was done cooking I handed him a plate and watched as he exited the hut and onto the balcony that connected it. I sat on the other side of the wall snd started to eat, " do you mind if I ask you questions, I've always been infatuated with your religion." I heard his now unmuffled voice hum in response.
" How long have you been in the guild?"
" A long time"
"What happens when you take off your helmet in front of someone"
" I can't put it back on"
" do you hate the Jedi?"
"Never met one"
At that comment you scoffed to yourself. And took another bite. Until you heard his voice, "why'd you chose to live on kashyyyk"
At that you frowned " Personal reasons"
" you aren't a bounty are you?"
You gulped, " no of course not"
The mandalorian hummed and you heard a shuffle. You looked up at the man from where you sat and looked at his beskar helmet.
" thank you for the meal..."
"Y/N"
He nodded and sat his plate down on a counter and looked around, you guessed he was looking for where he'd be sleeping. You stood and walked over to your bed grabbing a cot from under, you laid the cot out and grabbed a spare pillow and blanket.
"Sorry it's the best thing I've got"
" it'll do"
He stripped himself of his armor except for his helmet while you walked over to the lantern in the middle of the small hut and blew the light out. Settling down into your bed you said a quick goodnight to the mandalorian and fell into a deep sleep.
Little did you know meeting this mandalorian would change your life.
