There was silence all around. Me and my assistant crept through the halls. Heading towards the room with weird noises. Inside as expected is the decaying corpse of a pregnant woman.

Only she wasn't dead. She was beating viciously on the door in a desperate attempt to eat our flesh and blood.  Without a second to lose I slam the door open, knocking the pregnant zombie to the ground. 

I swiftly chop off her head and begin to carefully cut the baby out of her stomach.  As I expected the baby was still alive.  Because we don't have much time, I casually wipe the baby down after cutting off the umbilical cord.

Then taking baby diapers and clothes out of my bag, I quickly dress the boy. I give him to my waiting assistant Amelia along with a warm bottle of milk, a blanket, and a pacifier.

Come on we need to move quickly, I say. Giving her a harness to strap the baby to herself, I immediately head to the next room. Luckily the mother is still alive. So after a couple words she quickly got up from her hiding spot and followed me.

Everyone heard the weird screams and noises of patients and doctors going crazy and eating each other. So many of the surviving mothers hid inside of their rooms, instead of running out which is what saved their lives. 

After collecting the eight still living mothers, and two more babies whose mothers had zombified, we quietly left the maternity ward.  All the mothers where heavily pregnant and could barely move. 

Letting out a sharp whistle, a large group of canines appeared out of the darkness.  They had been on look out while we where rescuing those helpless mothers and children.

Now their large size comes in handy because they are going to take these cumbersome and slow women to the mini base as quickly as possible. Sending Amelia with them I head to the next hospital as quickly as I can.

This hospital has an significantly larger amount of zombies. An hour has passed since the beginning of the apocalypse, and the chances of the babies surviving inside of a zombified mother is going down.

It is later known that the babies can survive inside of a zombie corpse for up to three hours. So I have to make it to the last hospital on the list before time is up.

Just like before I send out a pack of large mutant pets to start clean up, while I try to make it as quietly as possible to the maternity ward on the third floor.

Unconsciously I made a gesture for Amelia to stay behind me, before I remembered that I had just sent her with the first load to the temporary base. 

For now I would have to do everything alone. Pulling out a wind-up toy with lights and sounds I threw itup the hall the zombies wandering the halls where attracted by the noise and soon huddled around the loud toy.

Jumping high in the air I pulled out the two swords from the harnesses on my back and chopped off four heads taking out half of the crowd.  Landing in a crouch two swipes cut the last four zombies in half. And a repeated process at the neck has their heads rolling off.

I rushed the 6 living pregnant women and 4 babies out of the hospital. Onto the pack of large dogs backs and into the night. 45 minutes have passed since I entered the second hospital on the agenda sending the refugees to the safe base.

  I rush to the last hospital that's placed on the other side of the city . When I arrive the zombies have multiplied by nearly three times. Luckily the first pack of mutant pets have returned and met me  at our final location.

Sending the pets in to clear the way, I once again crept up the stairs to the maternity ward. However unlike the last couple times, this time I'm faced with several rotting corpses who had probably attempted to escape down the stairs.

Pulling out the shuriken at my hip, I throw them at their ankles. Causing them to fall down the stairs, pulling out one of the swords from my back. I chopped off their heads when they hit bottom stair. Climbing past the hill of zombies corpses I continue up to the last maternity ward.

After rescuing 4 babies from their zombified mother's I noticed that there where no surviving mothers in their rooms along with some signs of hasty packing. After a detailed search I found them all huddled in a room  in the back.

A group of  nurses and doctors beside them.  Well come on, the zombies wait for no one. I said as they sat there and looked at me in shock. Come on, come on, let's go! I screamed when they sat their without moving.

With my encouragement they jumped up like being shot with adrenaline. Following the trail of corpses they ran right out of the hospital and onto the street. Taking a moment to catch their breath, when they saw the large animals they didn't ask any  questions.

Immediately helping the pregnant women and babies onto the animals and riding away. I knew then that this was one of the hospitals that had received the special training. Having completed my first mission of the night, I decide to head back inside to see if I can find the pharmacy.
