Keir glared from his space beside the door. Of course Karai got the mission again. Keir bit back a growl as she walked past him, Karai was the master's favorite, and she always got the missions that intrigued him. But Karai wasn't mean to him, in fact she was one of the first foot warriors to treat him like a human when he brought in. He was a mutant after all, back then the foot clan wasn't mutants and robots.

"Keir." The master said from his throne. Keir looked up and began to walk towards Master Shredder's throne.

"You are to deal with the traitors-" Of course. Another lame-o mission. Why can't he get the good missions?

Keir bowed as the master stopped speaking, then he made his way to the exit. Of course he knew the reason, but it was painful to admit. The master was scared that Splinter would hurt him, like before.

His leg burned as he thought about Splinter. He was one of a kind and that bastard rat named Splinter had tried to kill the master, but Shredder saved him before Splinter could kill him. He owed his life to Shredder, and he would do as many of these lame missions it took to repay his master. To protect Orange.

Keir sighed as he cut down the last traitor. It was too easy. He wanted to have the opportunity to prove himself, to prove he was worth going all out on, even if his limp said otherwise. To prove he could protect Orange still.

He could go spar with Karai, but she might not be done yet. Something about a group of ninjas who served Splinter. The Foot rarely returned alive from fighting this group. Keir smirked as he hopped over the railing, he could prove himself now.

Keir dropped to a squat as he stared out onto the fight. Confusion and worry flooded him. They were... like him? They were turtles, like him.

His eyes set on the masks. Orange, Red, Purple. Orange. His hand reached up to the mask over his own face, black. He didn't know why the masks made him so angry. Nor why they served Splinter and why the other soldiers refused to tell him. Did they think he wouldn't be able to beat them?

"Donnie! I thought you said to retreat!" A voice said behind him, and he turned in confusion. Donnie? There were two humans staring at him, a redhead and a masked one.

"April, Casey, what are you doing?" A turtle dropped behind them. "And why are you-" The turtle had a red mask, and stopped as he stared at him. Red?

The turtle growled as he pulled his sai. "Who are you."

The humans looked at each other before pulling their weapons in confusion. They were extremely confused.

"Keir." Karai said, dropping behind him. "I would have liked to know you were coming along."

"Who...?" The red headed human asked, staring at Keir.

"Let's go!" The purple banded turtle yelled from above, purple smoke appearing around them.

Keir growled as the smoke cleared. No one was around any more. Based off the disappointed looks they held, this was a common occurrence. If Orange peaked out around a corner, but was pulled away, Keir didn't mention it.

"...does Master Shredder know you're here?" Karai rested her hand on his shoulder. Karai always worried, he hated it. It wasn't like they were kids incapable of protecting themselves from the other foot warriors anymore.

"No." Keir said, staring at the shadows.

"Then it will be fun explaining how you ruined this mission." Fishface laughed as he dropped in front of Keir, followed by Dogpound.
