The last Immortal

Chapter 1

I woke up with a violent shake as i held in the screams. It had taken me twenty years to be able to sleep most nights and only wake up screaming on the occassional night. I swung my legs out of bed and walked to the bathroom, glancing at the clock on the way. 3:00am. I splashed water on my face and looked up at myself in the mirror. My long blonde hair was clinging to my neck from sweat and my blue eyes were surrounded by red from the nightmare.

I pulled on my running pants and a hoodie aswell as my shoes before leaving my small rented apartment. I never settled down anywhere.. I kept moving from country to country in an attempt to blend in. It was hard when i had to move every five years when people became suspicious of me not ageing.

The sound of my sneakers hitting the pavement was a comforting familiar noise that would help me relax whenever my past would haunt me in my dreams. I had been in this city for three months and I was hating it, everyone was busy and everyone was so stuck up in their ways.. I didnt fit in. As I ran through the suburban streets I pictured myself being able to run through the woods in peace, to breathe the fresh air with the smell of the dew on the leaves.

I would be there soon... I had already bought myself a small cottage nestled in the woods, I just had to pack my stuff and go, and i hardly had any possesions anyway from all the moving that i could be fully moved in two days. I picked up my pace as I ran and made it home just before sunrise.

When i got home I showered and ate before starting the moving process.

I stared around me at the beautiffully lush green woods. My small cottage blending in so well, i seemed like a fairytale cottage. The moss climbing the walls made it appear to grow out of the very forest itself.

There was a small knocker on the door and I felt instantly at home when i pushed open the door and went inside the cozy little house.

Okay everyone, this is a new story so bear with me :)

Chapters will get longer but only after my exams, which will be soon...
