I wasn't always
A person
Not like this
I wasn't always
Her
You made me, girlie
Put a face, name and voice
To your inner darkness
Every unvoiced fear
Every well kept secret
You made a doppelgänger
Of yourself
Me
That only you can hear
Before I was simply an entity
But you brought me to life
Now I whisper things
End it all
Make the cut
Don't look so alarmed
I am only saying
What your deepest thoughts are
The ones that float within
Your subconscious
That sometimes float
Unbidden
To the surface
Face it girl
I'm your only real friend
Your mirror twin
Put your hand against the glass
And embrace me
Embrace who you really are
YOU ARE READING
Broken
PoetryThis is the story of two entities. Her and I. One urging for pain, the other holding onto hope. These are her words. Her views. Her ideas. How much longer can I live with Her?
