Shadow and Mariah's House,
*Oh no!" Shadow screamed as he saw Mariah walk out the burning building with a broken arm. "Shadow..." Mariah mumbled as she fell to the ground. "No...NNNNOOOOO!!!" Shadow screamed as he caught Mariah. "I'll kill him. I promise, by the 78th hour from today, Mephiles will pay!" Shadow said as he carried Mariah to the Hospital.
F.F.Hospital,

Shadow, Sonic, Tails, and Sally waited in the waiting room. The doctor walked into the room with good news in his mind.
"Mariah?Is she ok?"Shadow asked.
"Mariah is fine. She is just tired. You may check on her now if you'd like." The Doctor said. Shadow and the others went in to Mariah's "patient room". "Shadow! Your here." Mariah said happily. "Of course I'm here." Shadow said. "Mariah, I'm going out after Mephiles. So Tails will stay with you to keep you safe." "Who's Mephiles?" Mariah asked. "Someone I used to know." Shadow answered as he showed Mariah the picture.*SIGH*
"Well, ok. Just come back alive, Shadow." Mariah said. Shadow ran of home. *Time to pay my past a visit!*
